Spore is a Sims game. Right? I mean, Will Wright was behind it and he IS the creator of the Sims franchise…

It’s my blog and I say this video is Sims related. I DID do the whole SporeVote.com thing a while back. [Google it if you must but the site is down now. Sad times.]

Funny, funny video with Spore and Robot Chicken [WHO I LOVE]. My favorite level is the room filled with treasure that explodes.

I mean, really? How can you beat that?

The Ultimate Spore Creature Creator Dance Off

Since the Spore Creature Creator has apparently taken the world by storm with more creatures created than exist in the real world, EA has decided to take over YouTube as well with their announcement of a Creature Dance Off.

The steps are simple:

Download the Creature Creator – free!

Create a creature and make him dance – make sure you record it

Upload creature to YouTube and register the video

Pretty cut and dry but you might as well head on over to the YouTube page to read everything for yourself. Also, click here for the “official” rules.

The prize is a trip to the Smithsonian Museum and registration ends on August 1st so hurry up.

I Played with the Spore Creature Creator and I Liked It

Can I talk about this now? I mean, it’s not a Sims event per se, but it is Will Wright related so I guess that counts.

I was asked to play with the new Creature Creator for Spore and enter into a contest to win $15,000 for my favorite charity.

The way the whole deal works is you go to SporeVote.com and view everyone’s creatures; there’s a short bio of everyone and a video of their creation.

Then, you vote on which creature you like best.

Simple as that.

I’m not sure when Avery will be up on the site but hopefully it won’t be too long.

You can download the Creature Creator on the 17th though there are “leaked” copies out there if you do some looking around.
