When Brett Favre does this
Detroit Lions fans do this

We all get a little worried about Brett Favre.
Your intrepid author is a huge Lions fan. That does not mean my stature is large. It is more about my level of fanness. (Is fanness a word?)
Even though your intrepid author is a Lions fan, it is still a thing of beauty to watch Brett calmly take apart some team from the good weather states up in Lambeau field in 10 degree weather.
Now here is the sickest part of being a Lions fan. We love Brett Favre or at least most of us do.
You should see him destroy my Lions with a big grin on his face. Even when he gets knocked down, you can tell he is having a great time.
Brett is not just talented, he plays like a man. We all can respect that.
Last year he passed Dan Marino in completions.
Dan Marino held the record for most completed passes in NFL Football with 4,967 before Favre smoked that record against the Lions. Oh yeah, the Green Bay Packers won, 17-9. source
Lion’s fans are proud to say Brett made that record against the Lions!
Brett not only plays like a man, but he goes for all the marbles all the time. Some critics think that is his downfall. My guess is that it is more a product of having to play on a lot of teams with very little talent.
Lion’s fans can bear any loss (except maybe to the Bears), so that does not bother us. We just worry about Brett being traded into oblivion, instead of remaining a Packer.
But fear not football fans, Brett has assured us that all is well and even a deal with the Devil will not take him away from the Packers.
“I was frustrated a couple weeks back when Randy Moss was traded to New England,” Favre said on the Packers’ Web site. “I never wanted to be traded and I don’t want to be traded. I want to be in Green Bay. I want to finish my career as a Packer.” source
Still the word is out that Brett’s agent asked for the trade after the Moss deal fell through.
Even though Moss would have given Brett a big fast target to throw to, Randy’s track record suggests all may not have ended well in Green Bay had the deal gone through.
Still Brett did ask for the trade and it was turned down.
That request was denied, according to the report, and Packers coach Mike McCarthy eventually calmed Favre down. Favre then admitted that he never wanted to play elsewhere.
“Sometimes when I get frustrated, I let my emotions get the better of me,” Favre said.
Now let us all get down to business and see if my Lions can destroy Brett and his Packers this year!
NFL Football Fan Question Will you miss Brett when he leaves?
