Marion Berber
So what did Marion Barber do to draw the ire of Dallas Cowboy owner Jerry Jones?
Marion did not play with an injured toe.
“His toe is good enough to play,” Jones said. “We can support that toe and he can come play. He’s just not comfortable playing. … I don’t know if it’s going to be any different than it was this week.”
Jones said he expected Barber to play all week and was shocked the running back did not travel to Pittsburgh on Saturday.
“He can play with that injured toe,” Jones said. “He can play with the soreness and a combination of those things. I see nothing that led us to believe he couldn’t.”
Coach Phillips said Joes was not questioning Barber’s toughness.
So what the heck was he doing, if not questioning Barber’s toughness?
Man, you gotta love Jones as an owner. He is never satisfied and there are no sacred cows. Jones speaks and my guess is that Barber will be just a whole lot more motivated to play and play now.

You can tell it is the off season in the NFL.
IndyCar Series star Helio Castroneves exhibited his fancy footwork en route to winning last season’s “Dancing With The Stars” competition and he showed off a few new ones Wednesday during a special visit to the Dallas Cowboys Organized Team Activities session at their Valley Ranch practice facility.
Castroneves got the opportunity to run some routes against Dallas Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman and haul in some passes from quarterback Tony Romo following the team’s practice session. Castroneves, loosely guarded by a playful Newman, ran a post pattern on the first play and found out why Romo is a Pro Bowl quarterback. Romo lofted a perfect deep pass to Castroneves, who hauled it in for his first unofficial NFL reception. Castroneves was not as fortunate on the ensuing play as Newman decided to pressure the “NFL rookie” and tighten the coverage that resulted in an interception as Castroneves was bumped off his route.

Helio also met with Terrell Owens and owner Jerry Jones. The Dallas Cowboy owner stole the show as usual.
Upon his arrival, Castroneves was greeted by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who welcomed him with a mock dance move in tribute to his “Dancing With The Stars” title. Jones presented him with a personalized No. 3 (his car number) Cowboys jersey that he signed and Castroneves returned the favor by giving the team owner a signed Texas Motor Speedway/Bombardier Learjet 550k racing helmet. At the close of practice, Jones brought Castroneves to the middle of the field and introduced him to the entire team, which was met with applause.

2008 NFL Draft, Jake Long, Pacman, Brett Favre, Detroit Lions, Matt Ryan - what a day

It was such a strange and long Saturday.
2008 NFL Draft day
Only 3 hours for round 1. Last year the NFL draft was over in 6 hours. No receivers taken in the first round. How odd. The fast guys must slow the draft down.
Jake Long
Jake Long officially became a Miami Dolphin. The first draft pick in 2008 for the NFL by Bill Parcells. Big Tuna could not get rid of the pick, so he overpaid a very good young tackle to the tune of 58 million bucks for 6 years. 30 mill guaranteed. 6 years of no playoffs for the Dolphins, but at least they have a tackle.

Pacman - Ride ‘em Cowboy

Pacman is a Cowboy. It is official. Will Pacman even make the field is another question. The trade itself was very complicated.
The deal was agreed to in principle Wednesday. Then came all a convoluted series of talks between both teams, Pacman, the league and the union, a back-and-forth, forth-and-back series that team vice president Stephen Jones called the most complicated in his nearly 20 years in the league.
Brett Favre is gone
Brett Favre was placed on the Packer reserved retired list and no longer counts as part of their roster. It is so hard to imagine playing the Packers and not seeing Brett Favre slinging the ball around.

Pacman Jones just floats through life

Tennessee can finally be rid of Adam “Pacman” Jones.
Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, had been pursuing Pacman for some time, but the deal was finally done. Tennessee confirmed the deal took place. ESPN reports that a fourth round pick from the Cowboys was involved. The pick would be conditional. If Pacman does not play the pick goes back to Dallas.
Pacman is a very young and talented corner and also a great punt returner. Just so happens the Cowboys were looking for both of those things.
Pacman Jones is also a troubled young man, often in trouble with the law. In fact it is trouble with the law that may have finally necessitated this trade.
The Titans might have been more eager to trade Jones after news surfaced Monday night that the cornerback had paid money to a 29-year-old man arrested for a Las Vegas strip club shooting in February 2007 that left a club employee paralyzed.
A police report said that in the weeks after the shooting, Jones paid $15,000 to the man, who threatened to hurt the cornerback, his daughter and his mother. Jones picked the man out of a police lineup last Friday, helping fulfill part of the plea deal he agreed to last December when reducing two felony counts of coercion to conspiracy to commit disorderly conduct.

Pacman Jones exclaims it was only 60 large
Some guys just don’t ever get it.
Pacman is some guys. He will never get it, but that does not stop Dallas owner Jerry Jones from trying to sign him.
The Dallas Cowboys as a team are real close to winning a Super Bowl. If you had to rate them going into the playoffs last year, then you would find them somewhere just behind the Patriots, but ahead of the New York Giants.
The Cowboys had won both regular season matchups with the Giants.
Now Pacman Jones, when he leaves the strip clubs and goes on the football field, is one of the best cornerbacks in the game.
Jerry Jones has a habit of looking the other way at a man’s character if he has football talent.
The issue Jerry Jones has to consider is whether he can get the 24-year-old Pacman Jones to behave just long enough. If Pacman can keep it together for a season or two, the Cowboys might get what they crave before letting him go.
Forget teaching a lesson, there’s a Lombardi Trophy to be won. source

Dallas kicker Nick Folk after saving Tony’s butt twice. Only the second one counted
Tony has been on fire for the Cowboys this year and you expected it to keep on happening against the lowly Bills.
The Bills were starting Trent Edwards. Trent was respectable for a rookie starting a Monday night game.
Tony Romo was bad for a red hot quarterback. Romo had 5 interceptions and a fumble. Two of the interceptions were for Buffalo touchdowns.
The first throw of the game by Romo resulted in a George Wilson interception touchdown.
Camera pans to an unhappy Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys.
