Favre spotting does not worry Rodgers

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.

Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers - here is something you probably won’t see this fall

Pittsburg Steelers v Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers will be the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.

The real question is if Brett Favre will be the quarterback for anyone besides the backyard barbecue football games with friends and neighbors. If he is, then how can someone like me get an invitation? Can you imagine Brett Favre throwing you the ball in a pickup game? Wow. It would rip the hands right off your arms and you would still be happy.

Anyway, Aaron will be the QB for the Pack.

Greg Jennings commented on Coach McCarthy’s Monday morning speech.

“It was short and sweet: ‘Aaron’s our guy. If Brett comes, we’ll handle it. But right now and for our future, Aaron’s our guy,’” receiver Greg Jennings said, recalling his coach’s words.

“We’re working with (No.) 12 and not (No.) 4. It’s the same as when we worked with Favre. Everybody has to support Aaron. That’s what it’s all about, coming together as a team and moving forward, and that’s what we’re trying to do.”

The Packer players admit they don’t know which quarterback would give them the best chance of winning.

At least one veteran player, linebacker Nick Barnett, acknowledged the possibility there could be a difference of opinion among players on the issue of which quarterback – Favre or Rodgers – gives the Packers a better chance to win. But Barnett quickly dismissed that as being a problem that could hamper team chemistry.

“I’m sure each particular guy may have their own opinions,” Barnett said. “But right now, it’s about whoever they choose, that’s who we’re going to roll with.”

All we know is that Aaron Rodgers will be taking the snaps once the season begins.
