Cowboys out to win toughest division

Will the troubled Pacman Jones be a plus player for the Dallas Cowboys?
How would you like to be the New York Giants fresh from a Super Bowl victory and not even picked to win your division?
Heck, some skeptics think the Giants may lose second place to the Philadelphia Eagles.
And let’s not forget the Washington Redskins with new coach Jim Zorn. They were in the playoffs in 2 out of the last 3 years.
But the NFC East Division is the Cowboys to lose. They come back as the heavy favorites, even though they seem incapable of winning a playoff game.
How would you like to pick up LB Zach Thomas, CB Adam Jones, RB Felix Jones, and CB Michael Jenkins in your off season? The Cowboys did just that.
Overview: Maybe this is the year of the coronation, I don’t know. The Cowboys are loaded. There is depth everywhere. And the division seems set up for them to stay on top. Except … except there’s that pesky thing called the playoffs. Dallas hasn’t figured it out in over a decade, and coach Wade Phillips is 0-4 there for his career.
Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Jessica Simpson, …How can you go wrong?

These Quarterbacks are special
Brady, Manning, Warner, and Marino are in group by themselves with Marino making it twice. This group is the 40+ club, very exclusive!
Kurt Warner surprises us with 41 with the Rams and the Greatest Show on Turf. He is also a two time list maker with 36 in 2001.
Brett Favre had 39 way back in 1996 and 38 in 1995!
Steve Beuerlein? Maybe the least known name on the list and considered by many to be a journeyman type qb.
Quite unnoticed, except for his dating of Jessica Simpson, is Tony Romo making the list last year with 36.

The Sporting News is out making predictions again.
Clifton Brown of the Sporting News really likes the Cowboys and what is not to like? Tony Romo, Terrell Owens, Jessica Simpson. Brown predicts a 13 - 3 season. Although, there is no over and under on Jessica Simpson showing up for games.
1) Dallas Cowboys (13-3). Loaded with talent, and they are motivated by recent playoff flops. Their offense is the best in the conference. Draft choice Felix Jones will pick up where Julius Jones left off. This team is headed for Tampa.
source
The Cowboys will win the NFC and eventually lose to the Chargers in the Super Bowl!
On the other hand, if you are like me, a Detroit Lions fan, you are in big trouble. Clifton predicts a 3 - 13 season.
4) Detroit Lions (3-13). The fade at the end of last season is a sign of things to come. Every other team in the division improved; the Lions did not, and it will show on the field. This franchise cannot seem to move forward.
Hey, can’t wait for the season to start, so we can go for those 3 victories! Maybe Jessica Simpson would want to attend Lions games?

So no more Jessica Simpson for Tony Romo and Tony says he did not have good sex with Jessica? Have to agree with the correspondent, all she would have to do is show up!
Oops, they brought up the fumble on the field goal snap.

Giants Manning advances, Manning does not

Eli Manning throws deep into the playoffs
Oh boy, did not see this coming. Did you?
The road to the Super Bowl can be tricky. Both games on Sunday were upsets.
New York 21 Dallas 17
Eli Manning played quietly and defeats the Cowboys.
Tony Romo lives loud with vacations with Jessica Simpson and ripping the NFL and Fantasy Leagues apart and stinks up the joint in a loss to the Giants.
San Diego 28 Indianapolis 24
Peyton Manning played loud, but throws a couple of crucial interceptions and loses to the Chargers.
Phillip Rivers and LT hurt their knee and their backups make the big plays to defeat the Colts.
New York Giants
The Giants, a team of heart and sweat and power, will face the Packers on Sunday. The Packers should be heavily favored, especially in Lambeau field, but that has not mattered to the Giants. In fact, one could say they have almost thrived on being the underdog and have acted more like Underdog!
Dallas underperformed as so many teams have against the Giants.
Topping the list of the listless for the Cowboys was Romo, who was 18 of 36 for 201 yards, one touchdown and an interception. All of that came after Romo caused a stir last week by spending Thursday through Sunday in Mexico with Simpson. source
Eli stayed within himself to keep a Manning advancing in the playoffs.
But in the final seconds of the first half, the Giants turned this game on its ear. They drove 71 yards on seven plays in the span of 46 seconds, with quarterback Eli Manning going four of seven to account for all of the yardage. It was Manning’s second straight efficient performance as he completed 12 of 18 for 163 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. Among the throws was a pretty 22-yard toss to rookie wide receiver Steve Smith. source
The Giants secondary kept Dallas from getting any deep plays and the defensive line went after Tony Romo hard to keep him off balance and it worked.
“That’s what we were focused on taking away all game,” Giants cornerback Aaron Ross said. “If we gave up something big, we just talked to each other and stayed focused on not giving up another one.”
That was the plan in the secondary. Up front, the defensive line stopped thinking so much. In the two previous games, the Giants had focused on keeping Romo in the pocket instead of allowing him to freelance. In this game, the Giants threw caution to the wind and just chased Romo however they could.

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo

Even though she has been warned by Terrell Owens to stay away from Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, Jessica had to see her man.
So, they took a little vacation to Mexico to let go of some of that stress.
You know that stress of being famous and rich. Doesn’t it just get to you after a while?
You know, Jessica has never once shown up at my church league basketball games. Maybe she only loves football?
Terrell Owens
Speaking of the aforementioned TO, it seems that he has one of those infamous high ankle sprains. Will he play against the Giants?
“It looks to me that it’s going to be a game-time decision on him. … It’s Monday game week. He probably couldn’t have played today,” Phillips said. “It was a limp-through for him, a walkthrough for us.” source

Meanwhile, back with the Giants, you know, the team Read more
Jessica Simpson banned by Cowboys?

Terrell tells Jessica to stay away!

Terrell Owens has warned Jessica Simpson to stay away from Tony Romo!
Why?
Simpson has become Public Enemy No. 1 among Cowboys fans because of a link being made between her appearance at Sunday’s game and the poor performance of her new boyfriend, QB Tony Romo.
”Right now, Jessica Simpson is not a fan favorite — in this locker room or in Texas Stadium,” Owens said Wednesday. source
Hey, this is serious stuff. It was reported in E! Online, after all.
Now what basis do they have to make this connection?
The Cowboys lost 10-6 to the Eagles and Romo had what was statistically the worst game of his career, all while Simpson sat in a luxury box wearing a pink No. 9 jersey she showed the TV cameras.
The problem for her is, Romo’s previous worst game came last December at home to the Eagles when then-girlfriend Carrie Underwood was in attendance.
Hmm, pretty good evidence. Maybe they can send Jessica Simpson to my house to watch the games? Large Screen TV, Hi-Def, refreshments…
Oops, was that my wife calling me?

Oh no, Jessica signed with the Vikings!
Ok, time for a confession. Jessica Simpson probably does not even know what sport the Detroit Lions play.
Come to think of it, there are a lot of times that most of us don’t know what sport the Lions are playing.
Bear with me. It was a slow news day. So let’s discover what would make Jessica love the Lions.
As for Paris, well, who really cares!

Either this or a picture of a wet football
Bad weather was supposed to help the Bears, but it didn’t.
The Bears refused, however, to use it as an excuse.
“Wasn’t a factor. Didn’t bother me,” linebacker Brian Urlacher said.
“Both teams had to play in the weather,” said kick returner Devin Hester, who opened the scoring with a 92-yard runback for a TD. “They had the same footing we had.”
Then again, they weren’t the ones fumbling and throwing interceptions, either. source
Fans with 600 dollar seats walked away at halftime to seek shelter from the rain and 20 mph winds.
It was a strange sight for Miami. Read more

Admit my arguments are strong and highly intelligent or you will face me as a worthy adversary and be crushed
You know who will win. They don’t know who will win. Your logic is superior. Theirs is inferior. You quote Defense and Urlacher and Colts have no chance. They quote Peyton and Offense and how can you win if the Bears don’t score enough points?
Your neck veins are bulging. How can they be so dumb?
You puff up your chest and say something that was intelligent in your mind, but comes out like “You don’t know diddly-squat about football”.
Jessica says - What are you staring at with those big ridges on your forehead? You are such a dork!
With their advanced college degree, they fire back with “Weren’t you telling me earlier, that Pittsburgh would be tough again this year?”
“Yeah, well, so, err umhh uh”, your mind fumbles for a response.
It is that time of year to pull out all the clichés and catchy stats that you can. It is the Hidden Super Bowl played out at the water cooler and the local pub. So have a drink or have a snort and let’s get started.
