Unlike other Hummers the H3T was made for off-roading.  The H3T has an under-carrige guard that helps protect it from protruding obstacles, as well as an impressive ability to tread through 24 inches of water at 5 mph.  It can also handle an incline slope of 60% as well as a 40% side tilt.
