PS3 sales are through the roof! This makes me oh so happy. Thanks to the price point drop, sales have more than tripled [and it kicked the Wii's butt in Japan].
I’ve made no bones about the fact that I prefer the PS3. I’m extremely brand loyal and the Sony controller is comfortable and familiar to me.
I want the PS3 to do well. I want people to quit focusing on console exclusives and ignore all of the hype and buy the superior [and now more reasonably priced] PS3.

Also, Sony has dropped their long time ad agency, TBWA, and replaced them with Deutsch. After the crap PS3 spots that were infesting my quality TV time, I can’t say that I’m sad to see TBWA go.

So, the moral of the story kids is that Sony is slowly but surely getting their shit together. They’ve lowered their price point, sold a crap load of systems and they gotten themselves a shiny new ad agency.

I hope only good things continue to happen for my favorite console.

Poor Sony.
You’re loosing money hand-over-fist.
¥96.7 billion [841 million dollars] down the ole crapper!
Losses are being attributed to “the strategic pricing of [the PS3] at points lower than its production costs and PS3-related inventory write downs”.
The sky is falling! The sky is falling!
OK. Not so much.
Sony as a whole actually turned a Q2 profit. They even beat profit expectations.
Sony revolutionized console gaming; they know what they’re doing. [I hope]

Sony as a whole actually turned a Q2 profit. They even beat profit expectations.

Sony revolutionized console gaming; they know what they’re doing. [I hope]

With the announcement that U.S. markets will in fact be seeing the 40 GB PS3 at the $400 price point on Nov. 2nd, I have a feeling that PS3 sales issues just might be a thing of the past.

Also, the 80 GB is set to drop to 500 smackers. [That's the amount that I paid for my 20 GB]

With the drop in the PS3’s price-point and promising games close to release, I say Sony should hold its head high.

Q2 may have been oh so scary, but Sony’s far from dead.
