Staying fit with exercise helps to improve your circulation and thus the delivery of nutrients to your skin. These nutrients can help to flush away toxins and promote the production of collagen. Collagen is the connective tissue that keeps wrinkle and fine lines from appearing. So, you aren’t just getting in shape when your running on that treadmill; you are also improving the health and appearance of your skin.

In an article on medicine.net, David Berman, MD, medical director and dermatologic/cosmetic surgeon at the Berman Skin Institute, Palo Alto, Calif., says exercise can also help acne.

“There’s a lot of indirect evidence that shows that when you exercise your level of stress diminishes. So your adrenal glands are producing less of these male-type hormones that are part of any acne flare-up,” said Dr. Berman.

Another consideration with exercise is that when you perspire, it helps clear out your pores. And clear pores means healthier skin. Just remember to always shower shortly after exercise. Leaving sweat, oil and dirt from your workout on your skin will only lead to more breakouts and skin problems.

Of course, diet also has an effect on the skin. You should drink 8 glasses of water a day and eat a balanced diet of fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. Here are four food items that are also essential for healthy skin.

Flaxseed - The essential fatty acids in flaxseed help reduce inflammation and dryness, resulting in smoother, softer skin.

Green tea – The antioxidants in green tea help eliminate free radicals, which cause skin damage.

Salmon – Salmon, herring, mackerel and other fish high in Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation and improve skin at the cellular level.

Strawberries – High in antioxidants and silica, strawberries are low-calorie, delicious and good for your skin.

I’m really happy for Will Allen to be able to continue his career in Miami for the next 3 years. He has become a mainstay for the Dolphins.

While with the Dolphins, Allen has played 47 out of a possible 48 games. Last season, he played in all 16 games and totaled 50 tackles and three interceptions. His three interceptions were the highest he’s had in his career since he had four as a rookie for the Giants in 2001.

In the 2009 NFL season, Allen is expected to keep starting on the left side for Miami. He’ll get help from Sean Smith and Vontae Davis — two selections by the Dolphins in the 2009 NFL Draft.

About 6 or 7 months ago, dtp entertainment announced a new adventure thriller game for PC called Memento Mori. Now, it’s been awhile since anything has been said about the game, but they’ve finally gotten themselves a trailer, which means the game must be coming to store shelves fairly quickly – probably early 2009!

Here’s what you can look forward to in the story:

Colonel Ostankovich, the commander of a special police department in St Petersburg, and the man who put his honesty at stake by swearing that under his command not an item will get lost in the Hermitage, receives a report of a short alarm failure in the Hermitage. He suspects that something happened. To avoid losing his reputation, he contacts Maxim Durand through Larisa Svetlova. Due to his past, Maxim is at his disposal and has to help him.

In the search for the stolen paintings Max and Lara (mostly on their own) visit the Hermitage, an old library, the Interpol’s headquarters in Lyon, the residence in Scotland and further locations. They interrogate the suspects, search for data, break codes and discover forgeries. All their journeys finally lead Max, accompanied by his brother, to the Finnish cloister. Strange deaths, secret signs and increasingly weird behaviour of Max’s brother André and of those around him force Max to the very edge of sanity.

Check out the trailer below:

The game will be playable in three different languages: Czech, German and English. This game will sure to be a world traveler.
