No? Then I guess Peterson has no good reason to be going 109 mph in a 55-mph zone. When pulled over he said he “didn’t realize he was going that fast.”
I guess when you’ve got Peterson’s speed on the field, 109 feels like you’re standing still. Hopefully he can carry that momentum onto the field this weekend.

RB Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
If there were any doubts about who is the best running back in the NFL, Adrian Peterson provided some clarity in Week 1. He had 180 yards and three touchdowns as the Vikings rolled.

WR Reggie Wayne, Indianapolis Colts
Marvin Harrison is no longer in Indianapolis — and Reggie Wayne proved he’s ready to be the man. In Week one, the Colts lead wide receiver had 10 catches for 162 yards and a touchdown.

TE John Carlson, Seattle Seahawks
The second-year tight end for the Seahawks looked great in Week 1. Against the St. Louis Rams, John Carlson had six catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

After a very good rookie season with the Detroit Lions in 2004, Jones has never been able to live up to the promise he illustrated that year. Last year with the Bears, Jones rush for only 109 yards in 34 attempts.

In 2009, Jones was likely to be the backup running back behind starter Matt Forte. Instead, the 27-year-old faces up to ten months of recovery. If his recovery doesn’t go smoothly, there’s a good chance that his NFL career could be over.

Adrian Peterson — the other Adrian Peterson — will now be the backup at running back. The 30-year-old Peterson has been on the Bears since 2002. Last season, he had 100 rushing yards on 20 attempts. For his career, he has 1,232 rushing yards on an average of 4.1 yards per rush.

The Trainer 1 is an innovative new lightweight training shoe that combines Nike’s training heritage with the latest innovation and design technology. So I hear. I’m just the messenger. I haven’t actually tried these shoes yet. But Adrian Peterson has and he likes them:

“The Nike Trainer 1s are extremely comfortable and the flexibility is awesome. I’ve already started wearing them for my training drills and for weight room workouts. It’s an amazing performance shoe that will give me an edge on the playing field.”

Of course, AD’s getting paid to say that but I’ll take his word for it. Anyway, as part of the launch event in Southern California today, the aforementioned Nike athletes led more than 50 local SoCal youth from all sports in a comprehensive training workout. Hopefully, they got some free shoes to take home. If not, they certainly got some great memories. For those who want to check out the shoes for themselves, the Nike Trainer 1 will be available in the U.S. beginning July 1 with a suggested retail price of 90 bucks.

Adrian Peterson is a college football success story. This was actually NOT his last year in college – he’s already in the NFL, playing for the Vikings.
And playing well…check out his shiny trophy in the picture above for being the 2007 Diet Pepsi Rookie of the Year.
Peterson ultimately went to Oklahoma, but also considered Southern Cal, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA, Arkansas, and Miami-FL.
He entered the draft a year early, was picked 7th by Minnesota, and had an amazing 2007, running for 1341 yards and 12 touchdowns. He set the record for NFL single game rushing yard record [...]
Post from: EveryJoe
