Finnish airline Finnair is launching daily flights to Tokyo in 2010. Finnair expands its Asian markets again like they have done in many years now. It may have been Finnair’s save as many other airlines are struggling with financial problems, Finnair did the right thing and took all Asian flights to itself.Finns are travelling to Asia more and more nowadays and therefore Finnair have many many flights to Asia. Air Berlin wins another award
The second largest German airline offers its customers the best value for money. This was the result of a study undertaken by the travel portal “smavel.com” to examine the additional charges applied by airlines.
Air Berlin scored highly in terms of its service, onboard catering, 20 kg free baggage allowance per passenger, generous child discounts and favorable conditions for the carriage of pets and special or bulky items of baggage. Plane crash in Kyrgyzstan
Itek Air 737 crashed shortly after departure from Manas Airport in Bishkek, capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Sunday.
Kyrgyz and Russian news agencies are reporting that the aircraft was departing Bishkek’s Manas International Airport as flight 6895 for the Iranian capital Tehran.
Only 22 of 90 passengers survived.
AA offers inflight internet
First airline in U.S, American Airlines will offer in-flight broadband to it’s customers. It will be available in long haul domestic flights. This is very good news as customers have been without phones and internet, not that I know who really needs it but yes, who does, it is a good news. Will it be some sort of combination of companies, like Google, yahoo etc. That may take passengers to only see emails and global news.
Asiana Airbus order includes 10 A350-1000s

According to Flightglobal, South Korea’s Asiana Airlines has become the third customer to order the largest member of the A350 XWB family, the A350-1000, as part of its recent agreement for 30 widebodies.
Asiana signed an order for 10 A350-1000s, plus 10 each of the smaller A350-800 and -900 twin-jets, on 16 July.

Boeing Next-Generation 737 Carbon Brakes Earn FAA Certification
Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced that it earned certification last week from the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration for its new carbon brakes designed for the Next-Generation 737.
The brakes, supplied by Messier-Bugatti, also entered service last week when Boeing delivered a Next-Generation 737-700 to Delta Air Lines — the first of 10 737-700s the airline will receive over the next several years.
