Master Hacker Pleads Guilty

In one enormous case of identity theft, computer hacker Albert Gonzales will soon plead guilty to stealing more than 130 million credit and debit card numbers for personal profit. Gonzales faces data theft charges in Massachusetts and New York, as well as a court mandate for the hacker to turn over $1.65 million in assets.
Gonzales faces 15 to 25 years in prison for stealing credit and debit card information from a variety of companies, including OfficeMax, Barnes & Noble, Sports Authority, and other popular retailers. Super Hacker Indicted for Wire Fraud

A super hacker who was able to hack into computer networks to gain access to 130 million credit cards and debit cards has been indicted. The hacker, Albert Gonzales, is from Miami, Florida and is already in federal custody due to other hacking-related charges.
In this case, the victims include a number of corporations such as the convenience store 7-Eleven, payment processor Heartland Payment Solutions and supermarket Hannaford Brothers. Gonzales was able to hack into the computer networks of these corporations using an SQL attack.
