I know the Big Ten is an improved conference, but it seemed like Painter and Weber were under the cloud of whoever loses the game has to swap places with Tom Crean for the rest of the season. The energy was unbelievable. The more than usual derisive Purdue crowd bellyached throughout the game, though why they were so upset is beyond me considering Purdue shot 14 more free throws than the Illini.

Apparently at least one Big Ten basketball coach doesn’t quite understand the nature of the internet, or he just doesn’t care.
At a Fighting Illini Comedy Tour Fighting Illini Meet and Greet Tour held in Peoria, Illinois on Thursday night, men’s basketball coach Bruce Weber had this opinion to offer on the upcoming Big Ten men’s basketball season, “The league should be wide open and we can be right in the middle of it.
