Allen Cunningham on Poker Learning

Allen Cunningham is just the most level-headed poker mind, I think. Here’s some thoughts from him on coming up in the poker world, and the synthesis of some of his poker theory and poker mind:

I like that he seems down to earth and normal. He seems to approach the game in a very organic way, which is refreshing from someone like him who has achieved such success. A nice flip-flop from the Scotty Nguyen style of being a cocky SOB.

Allen Cunningham Sick Call

I don’t remember this specific hand from the WSOP ESPN broadcasts, and I’m pretty sure I would have had this one stuck in my mind, or maybe it has been too long. Anyhow, this video is more proof when Allen Cunningham is just the sickest of the sick. He folds aces when he knows he’s beat, and here he makes a ridiculously strong call against Jamie Gold.

Allen Cunningham on Stealing

Allen Cunningham has a new article on the Full Tilt Poker website in regards to stealing blinds during the midpoint of tournaments. Why Allen Cunningham is a Killer

Here’s a hand between Phil Ivey and Allen Cunningham in a live No limit hold em cash game via Full Tilt Poker.

Love Cunningham’s play on this hand. Not raising the flop with crap on board. Just calling the turn. Laying down to the obvious value bet on the river. So many other players, I think including greats like Negreanu and Hansen, would have lost a hell of a lot more in this spot. Allen truly lost less than most any other player would have in his spot.

Plus he looks like John Malkovich.
