After doing some research on my AutoPlay and autorun.inf questions earlier I was reminded about some of the features that are available for tweaking your Windows XP install with the PowerToys applications like TweakUI.

PC Magazine has had some good Windows tips here lately. This one is about finding and getting back control of a window that’s hidden itself below other menus, off-screen, or even completely invisible.
This happens to me every now and then when I’m working on various applications and sitting on my local business network and using a VPN to connect to another client network.

In my previous post I spoke about the problems I was having with the ALT+TAB control after upgrading to IE7. One of the improvements coming to the OS with the release of Vista is a thumbnail preview of your open applications when you switch between them with the ALT+TAB control.
You can have that same functionality now with the Tweak UI tools that are available for download.

ALT+TAB Buggy in IE7

Has anyone else noticed that IE7 doesn’t let you switch through your active program windows easily using the ALT+TAB function? Is it just me?
While I’m blogging I switch between windows very frequently getting information, quotes and links for my posts. Is this just a quirk with IE7 and WordPress?
Anyone else experiencing this challenge?
