Amazon drops Kindle 2 to $299

Amazon has lowered the price of its popular ebook reader by $60. The latest generation of the Kindle, dubbed by fans “Kindle 2,” has been priced at $359 since its launch, but today Amazon has announced a drop to $299.
The Kindle has been a hit with readers since its first generation release, but the newest version upped the ante by reducing the device’s thickness while greatly improving its capabilities. In all actuality, I was sitting on my couch with my laptop in my lap watching the Sony press conference live but still, like I was there!

SO many cool things were introduced [PSPgo!!! $249.99 and Agent from Rockstar exclusive to PS3] and lots of cool videos were shown [Final Fantasy 14 Online *gasp* and Uncharted 2]. Amazon Announces The Kindle DX

Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com has officially announced the new Kindle DX on Amazon’s front page in a letter for. The Kindle was the rave of readers everywhere. The new versions of Amazon’s revolutionary reader is bigger and better!
The new Kindle DX is 2.5 times larger than it’s predecessor, holds 3500 books (2000 more books than the original), reads full PDF documents without scrolling per page and is on 1/3 of an inch thick! Size doesn’t matter, unless you’re a PC
Size doesn’t matter… Or so they say but the Eee PC could be the exception to the rule. A fellow blogger, Lia, wrote about the HP Voodoo, the Mac Air Rival. I say phooey! We don’t need a $2100 lightweight laptop, we need a 7″ computer that can handle the everyday tasks that we’ve all come to know and love (banking, email, document writing and more)!
