AMD is on a roll as it has released DDR3 for it’s Phenom II line of processors, a month after it has announced DDR2 support.
DDR3 features five new AM3 chips that are backward-compatible with DDR2 AM2+ motherboards and would work with AM3 boards as well. AM3 boards were built for DD3 support.

AMD’s lineup includes quad-core and tri-core version for it’s Phenom II processors.
DDR3 is a powerful beast which does not come cheap as the price costs around $145 – $175 USD.
