Friday Alert: Switch from Analog to Digital

On Friday, the long awaited end to analog television will be finalized. Television stations around the United States will cut their analog signals and their signals will only be available digitally.
The Federal Communications Commission, or FCC, is calling this a “historic transition”. Once the switch from analog to digital is completed, the FCC believes that television users will love the improved picture, better sound and the wider array of available channels. Additionally, the switch to digital will clear airwaves that will be valuable for wireless services.
