Valentino Rossi Racing Four-Wheeled Style

Valentino Rossi jumped off his bike and into a car at the end of the 2009 MotoGP season and never seemed to miss a beat as he showed his racing talents extend beyond his love for racing sportbikes. His next race will be the 2009 Findomestic Memorial Bettega, slated to run during the Motor Show in Bologna on 7-8 December. He’ll be putting it all on the line behind the wheel of the Ford Focus WRC prepared by Molcolm Wilson’s M-Sport in the team’s British facility against racers like FIA WRC World Rally Champions Petter Solberg and Marcus Gronholm, FIA …read more

Valentino Rossi Calls a Party

Valentino Rossi decided he would throw a MotoGP party and what better way to do that then with a sportbike race with his friends. Rossi organized an event that occurred on Sunday in Cavallara to raise money and interest for the children’s hospital based in Pesaro Italy that helps kids dealing with leukaemia.
Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso, Marco Lelandri, Julian Simon and a host of other racers got out on the track and raced for the kids, with Dovizioso coming out the winner in the end, after a three race affair. Dovizioso was second in the first two races to 125 …read more

Dani Pedrosa Wins Last Race of Season

Texan Ben Spies started from ninth place on the race grid for Sunday’s Gran Premio Generali de la Comunitat Valenciana on the pavement of Ricardo Tormo Circuit near Valencia, Spain. Racing for Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team in his first MotoGP Premier Class race Ben did an excellent job with a seventh place finish, just ahead of Repsol Honda’s Andrea Dovizioso. His seventh place finish was something he raced for near the end of the race and he obviously wanted to beat Dovizioso and he did. His placing did knock Dovizioso back to eighth place and in combination with Colin …read more

Donington Park Greets MotoGP for Last Time

The MotoGP competitions at Donington Park came to an end Sunday after a history that has seen its share of amazing moments and tragic events. This marks a point in history that’s both a pity and turns a page in the history books of the fastest sport on two wheels that will never be forgotten. Andrea Dovizioso will rank a note or two in the history books as the last premier class winner at the Midlands circuit, but this competitive racer is probably just glad to grab a needed 25 points toward his goal of a world championship.
The last competition …read more

MotoGP Test Session in Barcelona

The weather for Monday’s one-day MotoGP test session was hot but clouds covered the sky, resulting in showers falling in the midday that dried up by the time testing started, so they weren’t a concern for the riders. The MotoGP’s four day stay at the Circuit de Catelunya got off to a fast start with the riders taking their bikes onto the track to work on their bikes, rather than trying to run the fastest. The war for the fastest time was never going to be the prime concern of the day because teams have an extensive list of new …read more
