Jankovic Ousted, Federer Coasts
Well, it wasn’t the match I was hoping for. It wasn’t anything really. Roger Federer imposed his will on Lleyton Hewitt and ousted the Aussie in straight sets (7-6, 6-2, 6-4) to move into the quarterfinals. Federer looks good, folks. He looks really sharp.

Chakvetadze wins Paris Indoors Open
It took three sets for Anna Chakvetadze to win the Paris Indoors Open. The 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 victory over Agnes Szavay gave the Russian her seventh title.
Chakvetadze had to call in the trainer after losing the second set for a shoulder injury and managed to pull it together to eke out the win.
Before Chakvetadze climbed into the ring with Szavay, she took out Amelie Mauresmo (the former No. 1 – when she used to play well – when she won things…not like these days) and Marion Bartoli.
