One of my favorite web sites, Smashing Magazine features an article by Kitty Florido that lists 25 free productivity apps for the Mac. I’ll be honest, I thought that most of the stuff I had on my Mac was already ok but after seeing these apps, I’m inclined to install most of them.
Of the apps listed, the most recent one I tried even before I read the article was Name Changer. That’s a simple yet useful application for me. I process photos from my digital camera through Light Room but when I export them, I still need to rename some …read more

Make free phone calls with your iPod Touch! Well ok, it will only be free if you call other Truphone users or Google Talk. Support for calling to Skype and MSN users will be coming soon.
This will work in 2nd generation iPod Touch units (too bad for me). You need a set of earphones with the built-in mic such as what Apple sells.
As more WiFi hotspots go online, this will add to an already list of good reasons to get an iPod Touch or upgrade your 1st gen to the 2nd gen.

By sheer luck I was gifted with a single license of 1password. I’ve been thinking of buying this app but wasn’t really convinced I needed it. Since it’s free, I said …read more
