In the offseason, James was let go by the Arizona Cardinals after playing with the Cardinals for four seasons. Before joining the Cardinals, James began his career with the Indianapolis Colts in 1999.

With James out of the picture, the Seahawks will likely lean more on Julius Jones and Justin Forsett. Jones has 346 rushing yards, while Forsett has 109 rushing yards.

As for James, his career could very well be over. He hasn’t been very productive in the last few seasons and for a running back he is getting up there in age.

After not practicing on Wednesday, Boldin was again off the practice field on Thursday. However, he did some work on the side and the Cardinals are hopeful that he can participate in Friday’s practice. If he practices on Friday, there’s a very good chance that he’ll play in the Week 7 contest that has the Cardinals going against the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football.

On the season, Boldin has 29 catches for 306 yards and one touchdown. His best game came in Week 3 when he had six catches for 83 yards and a touchdown against the Colts.

Although Arizona is deep at the wide receiver position, they’ll need Boldin to have a decent shot at beating the Giants this weekend.

Despite not playing in the second half, Tatupu still had a team-high eight tackles against the Cardinals. Seattle also played the second half of Sunday’s game without defensive end Patrick Kerney after he aggravated a groin injury. Kerney had a forced fumble and a couple sacks before going down on the final play of the first half.

In addition to these new injuries, Seattle was without four other starters on Sunday. They have their bye next week and hopefully will have Sean Locklear, Rob Sims and Leroy Hill ready for action in their next game when they take on the Cowboys on Nov. 1 in Dallas.

However, after another offseason filled with complaints from Ellis, Dallas decided to cut their ties and save some money on his contract.
Considering that he has 20.5 sacks in the past two seasons, Ellis shouldn’t have any shortage of attention in free agency. At 6-foot-6 and 262 pounds, he’s still a player the offense has to account for when he’s on the field.

Who could be interested in him?

New England Patriots
Don’t the Patriots make a whole lot of sense? They need a pass rusher and they love veteran players with something to prove.

Arizona Cardinals
Ellis could rub it in and sign with the Cardinals — one of the Cowboys’ main rivals. Arizona also needs a pass rusher and Ellis could fit right in.

Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals also make sense. Mike Zimmer, the former defensive coordinator for the Cowboys, is now with the Bengals. Plus Cincinnati could use his added toughness.

Miami Dolphins
A reunion with Bill Parcells? Don’t count it out. Parcells likes veterans and even though he didn’t always see eye-to-eye with Ellis, he would make Miami better.

Warner, who received a $23 million contract from the Cardinals earlier in the offseason, is already back in action. Taking part in the Cardinals recent minicamp, Warner put in some light work that left head coach Ken Whisenhunt impressed. Although the Cardinals QB admits to still feeling pain in the joint, he says that he fully expects to be 100% by the time training camp opens.

During the Cardinals minicamp, Andquan Boldin showed up but didn’t play due to a contract dispute. If Boldin doesn’t settle his dispute with the Cardinals, Warner will be missing half of his dynamic wide receiving tandem that also features Larry Fitzgerald.

The surgery to Warner’s left hip was to take out some loose fragments and to fix a torn labrum.

Since entering the NFL, Boldin has been successful since Day 1. He had 101 catches in his first season and is coming off a campaign in which he had 89 catches for 1,038 yards and 11 touchdowns despite missing four games due to injury. In his six year career, Boldin has 502 receptions for 6,496 yards and 40 touchdowns.

Among the teams said to be interested in trading for Boldin are the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants need to replace Plaxico Burress, while the Eagles have been searching for a talented number one receiver since the departure of Terrell Owens.

It was totally surprising that Brenda Warner, Kurt Warner’s wife, was shown continually on the Super Bowl broadcast. Actually, no it wasn’t. No it wasn’t, at all. For some reason, whenever Kurt Warner’s name is brought up, the obligatory Brenda Warner camera shot isn’t too far away.

4. Troy Polamalu Appearing in the Coke Zero Commercial
Many people picked Troy Polamalu as the most likely to win the Super Bowl MVP. Not only did he not win the MVP, he was downright invisible. His most prominent moment was when he ripped the shirt off of that Coke Zero guy. Otherwise, Polamalu was busy missing tackles and giving up touchdowns.

3. Ben Roethlisberger Not Choking
Anyone who watched Ben Roethlisberger in his first Super Bowl likely thought the game was over after the long Larry Fitzgerald touchdown. Big Ben hadn’t exactly been known for his Super Bowl poise up until that point, however he deserves credit for coming up Big when it counted the most.

2. The Cardinals Defense Playing Well
During the regular season, the Cardinals defense was horrible. Even in the playoffs, they weren’t overly impressive. However, during the Super Bowl, Arizona’s defense was actually dominant at times. If the Cardinals had won the game, they had their defense to thank.

1. Santonio Holmes Catching the Pass
Santonio Holmes is known for his speed and his playmaking ability in the open field. What he’s not known for is having great hands. On that final play, he made one of the most impressive catches in the history of the Super Bowl. In his post-game celebration, let’s be thankful that Holmes kept his clothes on. Unlike that one time in the shower.

4. Miami Dolphins
Yeah, the worst to first storyline is heartwarming but the Miami Dolphins will be one and done in the 2008 NFL playoffs. Thought the Baltimore Ravens aren’t much of a powerhouse themselves, they should be able to handle the Dolphins.
3. Minnesota Vikings
Outside of Adrian Peterson, the Vikings don’t really scare many teams. Their quarterback play is iffy to say the least and their defense is overrated. Even though they are going up against the 9-6-1 Eagles in the first round, they will be shown the door.

Yeah, the worst to first storyline is heartwarming but the Miami Dolphins will be one and done in the 2008 NFL playoffs. Thought the Baltimore Ravens aren’t much of a powerhouse themselves, they should be able to handle the Dolphins.

2. San Diego Chargers
The Chargers made the playoffs despite being 8-8. That tells almost the entire story. LaDainian Tomlinson is a shell of his former self and their defense is horrible. The only reason they made the playoffs was due to a massive choke job by the Denver Broncos.

1. Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals don’t see the playoffs very often. This year, they better enjoy their opening game because that is all they will see. The Cardinals have been playing horrible football as of late and should lose in the first round to the Atlanta Falcons.
