All three of the Iowa Hawkeyes arrested early Monday morning for public intoxication are going to have hell to pay from their head coach, but perhaps none more so than James Ferentz. Why?
Because his father is Kirk Ferentz, the Hawkeyes head coach.
Lil Ferentz is a center for the team and was arrested along with fullback Tyler Christensen and tight end Zach Derby. Christensen reportedly pleaded guilty to fifth-degree criminal mischief and public intoxication. He’ll pay fines of nearly $500. Both Ferentz and Derby have pleaded not guilty.

OJ Simpson found out today how long he’d be put away. And it wasn’t what he wanted to hear. According to reports, Simpson could spend up to the next 33 years in prison and is guaranteed to spend at least the next nine years. That means that the 61-year-old Simpson won’t be out until he’s at least 70 years old.
Now while what he did was wrong in Las Vegas, did his prior transgressions come into play? If he wasn’t the world most popular murderer acquitted murderer, would law enforcement be looking to throw the book at him?

O.J. Simpson pulled over after 911 call

This guy cannot catch a break! O.J. Simpson was pulled over early Monday morning by the Nevada Highway Patrol after the unit received a call from someone at a gas station stating that Simpson appeared to be drunk.
Simpson, who was on his way to Las Vegas for his trial, was pulled over, but the NHP said he did not appear to be under the influence.
Let’s just hope Simpson can stay out of trouble for the rest of his trial, one that quite possibly could land him some jail time.

Jail time for college baseball players

Well – it’s not just NCAA football and NFL players that are getting in trouble with the law these days. This time – a few Oregon State baseball players were given jail time after pleading guilty to shooting up a neighbor’s house.
Oregon State won two out of the last three College World Series. However, the Beavers missed out on the national tournament this year. Outfielder John Wallace and former pitcher Anton Maxwell are receiving 15 days in jail after the incident. Jorge Reyes, who was the Most Outstanding Player in the 2007 CWS, is expected to …read more
Jimmy Johns sells cocaine?

Probably not what you were expecting when you walked into that sandwich shop, but don’t worry – there’s no white powder in your sub. Apparently the other Jimmy Johns, a former linebacker at the University of Alabama, was arrested recently for selling cocaine to undercover officers.
Johns was also charged with possessing ecstasy pills. Crimson Tide head football coach Nick Saban dismissed Johns from team after learning of the charges.

Remember when Josh Howard went on that Michael Irvin radio show and said that he liked to smoke weed and a lot of other NBA players smoked it too? Well gee golly Batman, he was right! At least about one other player.
