What am I talking about? Well, only this:

Yes, my friends. This is an edible Link from the Wind Waker game of the Zelda series. Not only is he edible, but he looks like someone I would like to play video games with.

So, how did AnnaTheRed do this crazy thing? She used carrots, eggs, rice, potato salad, fake sausage, spinach, seaweed, cheese, broccoli, some type of Japanese hamburger and fish cake to design the lovely Link featured above.

I know one thing’s for sure. If people are going to eat this thing, let us pray that AnnaTheRed washed her hands. Thoroughly.

Oh yes. That’s Guybrush Threepwood and Pirate LeChuck making some type of deal. It looks a little fishy doesn’t it?

And this painting? It was created by a potato. No, seriously.

It’s amazing the detail a little potato can put into a painting, isn’t it? Yes, that’s right. A potato. At least he says he’s a potato, but I hear it’s actually Steve Purcell’s alter ego, Stachie Spudnoggen, who created this work of art. Now, I hear from a Grumpy Gamer that this painting may… or may not be… for the now defunct Monkey Island movie. I says we bring it back. We can start picketing and stuff! Who’s with me?!

The site where I found these was all through this post over in the Adventure Gamers forums. Apparently, they were first posted over on a Hebrew website called Hebrew Quest, in which people talk about their favorite adventure games. I can’t read Hebrew, but I think most of these were posted by a guy who goes by the name of Mutajon. Okay, so how do you know which ones are the king and queen and pawn and so forth? Even if you don’t play chess, this is still the coolest chess set EVER.

I found these cool chess pieces over at Lively Ivy, aka Erin “The Ivy” Robinson. Erin is well known (famous really) for her adventure games, humorous comics and wacky antics. Now, I’m not sure if she herself made the chess pieces, but I do know she made some killer penguins with clay and you just can’t go wrong with killer penguins.

Checkmate

The International House of Mojo linked people to a cool site in on of their posts yesterday that I found highly cool. It’s a place where you can go to get the logo of just about any old school adventure game. The images are high quality, too, so if you’re good with the Photoshop, maybe you can make a desktop image that comprises of all your favoritest games EVER. Or perhaps you’d like to make yourself a forum logo, because that’s how you roll. Well, now you can, my homies.

So, are you interested? I know you are! And since you are interested, take a look at Thanius’ website. He’s a frequent poster on The International House of Mojo and apparently loves creating icons of his favorite games. What’s really cool is that he’s saved the images as a png with a transparent background for easy copying and pasting into your own evil creation.

Steve Purcell and his pirates

Now… I thought… “Hey, I can do some fan art like this. I mean… I like art and I like to be a fan, so I will combine two of my passions into some fan art.” So, here’s some of my awesome art:

Number 1:
Okay… so this is the first image I made. I wanted to get the best perspective of my favorite dog and rabbit, Sam and Max.

Notice the way Sam smiles that charming k9 smile of his that makes all the girls hearts melt. Oh, and Max is Chinese.

Number 2:
This is what I’d imagine that Guybrush Threepwood would draw if he was doing a self portrait:

Notice how his hair seems to be flapping in the wind and how his eyes shine in the sunlight. Now that’s detail.

Number 3:
Here is everyone’s favorite evil purple tentacle from Day of the Tentacle.

I gave him a princess hat and a wand, because I didn’t want everyone to misjudge him. He might be evil, but he’s still got a girly side to him.
