James Cameron’s Avatar is one of the most highly anticipated films of this year and now you can pick up a copy of the game ahead of the movie’s December 18th release date.  The storyline unfolds on the planet Pandora as a devastating conflict breaks out between two very different groups of people.

The special effects for both the movie and the game look incredible so if you’re looking forward to watching the on-screen action, you’re probably going to love playing the game.

More production stills from James Cameron’s highly-anticipated film, Avatar, have surfaced and they really do look pretty freakin’ cool.  I will admit to not being totally on-board with the whole furor over this flick but the more I learn about it, the better it looks.

The 3-D film is set to hit theaters and IMAX on December 18, 2009.  Up close and on their own, the CGI figures don’t look so realistic but that one shot of the female in a “real” environment (shown in a crouching position below) looks pretty believable.
