One of the most powerful tools we have today is the power of networking. Today’s B5 Promo Day addresses that very thing. My post was from a couple of months ago, on using networking to fund a college education.

Getting a new job.
Finding new clients.
Finding money-saving programs.
Meeting new people.
How do you use networking?

Re-evaluate your wants and your needs and cut back on some of your wants.
Start a savings plan to build (or pad) your emergency fund.
Make greater efforts to get out of debt.
Begin living within your means.
The old way of doing things in the “easy” economy was spend, spend, spend and do it now, now, now. …read more

Do you think that it brings attention to environmental issues? Is is making fun of increasingly ridiculous airline charges? Or is it offensive on …read more

The word “Recession” is still being bandied about by some, and today’s B5 Business Channel Promo Day addresses the recession (or the lack thereof). I wrote on the definition of a recession here on Yielding Wealth.
Here are some highlights from others on the B5 Business Channel:
Leadership Turn addresses the reality of the recession.
Project Management 411 looks at the recession as self-fulfilling prophecy.
Bosshatch looks at paying for college during a recession.
Contract Worker looks at something near to my heart: freelancers and the recession.
And there’s much, much more…

One of the latest blogs to join the B5 Business Channel is One Vote Matters. It’s shaping up to be a great blog about politics, without being overly political. I’m a very political person, so the blog is of interest to me. And another thing I watch is how politics can affect the personal finances of us “regular” folks.
And believe me. Who is in office does matter to your pocketbook — perhaps more than you think.
