“Curse of the Bambino” Check to Go on Sale

Well, it’s not just any check and you can’t actually cash it, because it was endorsed in 1922 by then-Red Sox owner Harry Frazee.
It was part of a transaction for some guy named George Herman Ruth who was sent to play for some team in New York.
Yes indeed, you can own a part of Red Sox history, though you might be opening yourself up to an 86-year curse.
The check reflects the third installment of the deal that sent Babe Ruth to the Bronx Bombers and kicked off a still-hot-thanks-in-part-to-the-Steinbrenners rivalry between the Red Sox and Yankees.
