The 2009 Basketball Hall of Fame class was inducted on Friday. Leading the way was Michael Jordan, arguably the greatest basketball player in the history of the sport. David Robinson, John Stockton, Jerry Sloan and C. Vivian Stringer completed the class. At the end of this entry, you can see the Michael Jordan Hall of Fame induction video.
Jordan won six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls. At the end of his career, he played with the Washington Wizards. He’s currently the man in charge of the Charlotte Bobcats.

Cathy Rush becomes ninth female coach in Basketball HOF
Hours before the NCAA Men’s championship final in San Antonio, former Immacualta University basketball coach Cathy Rush was voted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. From The Sports Network via KSAT.com.
Rush, previously a finalist five times, led Immaculata University to three consecutive AIAW national championships from 1972 to 1974. Rush propelled Immaculata, and women’s basketball, into the national spotlight when the Mighty Macs appeared on national television in 1975, a first for women’s basketball. She won 149 games and lost only 15 in just seven seasons, good for a .908 winning percentage.
