NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
It is a rising up of horses and tigers or rather Broncos and Bengals. The USA Today Power rankings are out and it looks so different than what we predicted before the season began.
The Giants and Colts are 1 and 2, but the Patriots and Steelers are nowhere to be found. Well, at least by their standards. The Patriots and Steelers are 9th and 10 respectively.
The Saints are sitting at number 3, a much loftier rating that one would have thought, but they face a gigantic challenge in …read more

Rudi Johnson dreaming about being a Detroit Lion
It did not take long.
One day the Cincinnati Bungles are releasing Rudi Johnson for whatever reason and the next day the Detroit Lions are roaring about signing Rudi Johnson.
Rudi said all the right things.
“The playbook is the main thing right now,” Johnson said. “When I leave here, I’ll be in the playbook 24/7. I know my cell phone is ringing crazy, but I don’t have time for no phone calls right now. I’ve got a lot of work to do.
“That’s all I’m looking forward …read more

The football has just floated away from Rudi Johnson lately
Two years ago my Fantasy Football team had Rudi Johnson and Larry Johnson for the running backs. It was a lethal combination that led to a regular season crown and a trip to the playoffs. We won’t discuss what happened after that.
And it is my guess that the two Johnsons don’t want to discuss what has happened since either.
Larry Johnson has watched his Kansas City team deteriorate and miss the playoffs while he fought off injuries and lack of carries. …read more

Ok, where is the Top Ten?
Sorry, Squibster is a little under the weather and in danger of being fired by the wife after a tough Valentines evening.
She took it well, but who knows.
Anyway, the USA Today Sports Staff in their Sports Scope article highlighted 6 coaches on the hot seat.
Ok, where is the Top Seven?
Your gallivanting author added the seventh. My comments will be in italics.
1. Brad Childress:
A five-game winning streak down the stretch may have saved him from the ax this offseason. But Childress must hope that stud RB …read more
Tom Brady and Randy Moss – like you thought it would work

Tom is thinking, Where is Randy, Where is Randy?
Tom and Randy.
No way, you screamed.
How can that work. Randy Moss will destroy the Patriots.
Even the Squibster was concerned. Not concerned enough to avoid picking the Patriots as my early season pick to win it all, but concerned.
Tom is known for being a very hard worker and trying to fit in everywhere he goes. He is one of the last to leave the weight room and wants to be just one of the guys in the locker room.
Randy, …read more

The ultimate Bengal – Chad Johnson
Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals is the best wide receiver in the game today. Just ask him.
Johnson wears a shirt that says Future H.O.F. 20? (That is, Future Hall of Fame)
Some think that makes Chad a big mouth showoff and should not be liked. The funny part is that Chad does it with a sense of playfulness. He makes it fun. Chad, you can tell, loves football.
For his entire seven-year career as a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals, …read more
