I played the demo of BioShock-the first one. There wasn’t enough of it to really allow me to get the taste in my mouth and the little girls pretty much scared the crap out of me.
That’s right. I admit it. Little girls with knives scare me.
ANYWAY, enough true confessions. I bring you three bad ass screens from E3 of BioShock 2. They look just as scary as the first game [maybe scarier] and are sure to wet your BioShock 2 appetite.
Enjoy.

I’m going to be totally honest [cause I'm cool like that] and admit that I have only played ten minutes of the original BioShock DEMO and I’ve gotta say that it didn’t inspire me to run out and buy the game. If I’m being all honest and stuff then I have to admit as well that I quit playing because it creeped me out.
And, little girls with knives are scary.
Anyway, BioShock 2 is just around the corner and I know that there are some die hard BioShock fans out there.
So, here. Have a video. Maybe that will tide you over …read more
Which Bioshock is prettier? PS3, Xbox 360 versions duke it out
Bioshock 'PS3/Xbox 360 Comparison' HD
So Bioshock is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 on October 21st. Gamers unable to play Bioshock’s earlier iterations on the PC and Xbox 360 get their chance when the survival-horror shooter makes its way to Sony’s console next month. Like other multiplatform releases between the two rival consoles, comparisons are made. Watch the video and see for yourself which one looks prettier.
First impressions say the Xbox 360 looks prettier with cleaner graphics overall. Interestingly, other comparisons made by GameVideos have provided the same result. But you know what trumps these two versions handily?
The PC version, …read more
Bioshock gets a release date for the PS3
After what seemed like an eternity, Bioshock finally has a release date for the PlayStation 3. Mark your calendars, PS3 owners, because the critically-acclaimed FPS/horror game is coming in North America on October 21 and internationally on October 24.
Interestingly, Bioshock’s PS3 version comes with new content. This includes the Survivor difficulty mode, and Trophy support, among others.
ScrewAttack proclaims 10 best FPS of all time
ScrewAttack came out with its own list of “top 10 FPS of all time.” Off the bat, let me tell you that this is extremely difficult to put together. There are many terrific FPSes out there, so limiting it to a mere 10 is no easy task. Frankly, I think it’s actually quite unfair.
Rant: Unreal Engine 3 games eat up too much space
If you’re as cheap as I am, then you’re probably holding off on that PC upgrade for years. A couple of months ago, I probably would’ve said that despite the age of my current rig, it has yet to disappoint. While it can still manage to run Mass Effect, I noticed that I can only install a couple of games on my hard drive because of space restrictions.
Are the size of current games really growing? I decided to do a little more digging.
I looked at the games installed on my hard drive. What do Gears of War, Bioshock, and Mass …read more
Bioshock PS3 release date revealed
We finally had our “told-you-so” moment when Bioshock was confirmed for the PlayStation 3. Now that it’s out of the way, we’ll tell you when it’s coming out. According to a 2K Games press release, Bioshock for the PS3 will be available in October 2008.
The press release also mentioned that there will be new content included in the PS3 release. However, there were no other details revealed. I guess it’s safe to say that the DLC that 2K Games released sometime last December ’07 would be included. Question is—would there be more?

Penny Arcade looks at PS3 Bioshock “hate”
\r\n\r\nWe’ve all heard of Bioshock coming to the PlayStation 3 for the longest time. I’ve raised this issue at least a couple of occasions. When Penny Arcade brought up the notion that a number of staunch PS3 fans “hate” (or as the comic suggests, “feel a blend of semi-grudging acceptance and cautious enthusiasm”) the 2K-developed FPS, I was very surprised.\r\n\r\n
2K Games licenses Unreal Engine 3
Here’s something that would leave you thinking: Epic Games announced that its Unreal Engine 3 will be used for unannounced games in development by 2K Games, the publisher of recent bestseller Bioshock.
As you know, Bioshock uses a modified version of the Unreal Engine 3, so this news doesn’t come as a surprise at all. However, the most perplexing part of this tidbit is about those “unannounced games in development.”
What are those games?
You mean aside from rumors of Bioshock making its way to the PS3, 2K is coming out with another game that uses Unreal Engine 3? I guess they are.

More fuel to fan the Bioshock-for-the-PS3 flame?
Looks like Crytek isn’t the only major developer looking for PS3 programmers. 2K Boston (they’ll always be Irrational Games to me), the brains behind Bioshock, is looking for a tools programmer with “PS3 and production experience using Python or Ruby,” and a senior console programmer.
Interestingly, the comments at PS3 Fanboy lean towards a new IP. They don’t seem to get that this is further confirmation that Bioshock is indeed coming to the PS3, like I’ve already mentioned before.
For starters, remember that there’s this bit about limited exclusivity, with 2K Games stating that Bioshock would “hit next-generation consoles.” Not “console” (singular) …read more
