Blake Griffin Heading to the NBA

Blake Griffin, the dominant bigman for the Oklahoma Sooners, has announced that he will forgo his final two years of eligibility to head directly to the NBA. Barring injury between now and the 2009 NBA Draft, Griffin will be the first player selected.
A quick look at his stats and it’s understandable why NBA scouts are in love with the 6-foot-10, 245-pound native of Oklahoma. In 33.3 minutes per game, Griffin averaged 22.7 points, 14.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.2 blocks and 1.1 steals per game. He also hit 65.4% of his shots from the field.
