Bobby Lashley Takes Out Bob Sapp

Bob Sapp didn’t manage to get a single offensive move off against former WWE wrestler Bobby Lashley at last night’s “Ultimate Chaos” event in Mississippi. Repeating a similar strategy from earlier fights, Lashley immediately shot in and took Sapp down. For the next three minutes Lashley attempted to ground and pound his opponent out, finally getting a tap at 3:17 of the first round.
Bob Sapp came into this fight at a relatively svelte 322 pounds – a big drop from his typical 375 pounds. Here I was hoping that this meant he was finally starting to take his training seriously …read more
Bobby Lashley Not Looking For The Easy Way

Either Bobby Lashley is very stupid or very true to himself and the sport of MMA. I would say it’s the latter…and not just because this guy could crush me like a beer can. He recently spoke to ESPN’s MMA Live and talked about the possibilities of getting to the UFC via The UltimateFighter 10 tryouts, which start on Monday.
He also stated that although he would love to be in the UFC, if presented with an offer, he would likely turn it down. Perhaps he’s being true to himself in the sense that he knows that he has only had …read more

Doesn’t look like Ken Shamrock will be fighting Bobby Lashley at March Badness. According to MMA Junkie, Shamrock popped positive for banned substance after his last fight where he broke a 5 fight losing streak. He popped positive to Stanozolol, the same testosterone based synthetic anabolic that Chris Leben was suspended for after his fight with Michael Bisping at UFC 90. and two other anabolic substances.
Shamrock was fined $2500 and was given a 1 year suspension, which he has the right to appeal. What is there really to appeal? Way to go, Kenny. Just when everyone thought that you …read more
Boby Lashley To Fight Ken Shamrock

Wow. This should be interesting. Ken Shamrock is beyond his prime and Bobby Lashley is just starting his career in MMA. This is like the generic super-fight or Lesnar Vs. Couture. Ken Shamrock is a strong veteran but not in the same way that Randy Couture. Bobby Lashley, I honestly haven’t seen him fight for more than 47 seconds, but I can imagine that he’s pretty fast and will be looking to send Shamrock out with his hang hanging low. Lashley has a strong wrestling (non-WWE) background and if he can elude Shamrocks strikes and/or submissions he may have a …read more
