Sometimes the blog posts just write themselves and yours truly is just the pop culture medium through which they flow. It’s like The Others, except Nicole Kidman isn’t involved, there aren’t any kids who have to stay out of the light, and it’s only scary around here when we talk about Danica Patrick’s temper.

Case in point: The hilarious comments section of this John Tomase article in today’s Boston Herald.

The perptual anti-Tomase tirades via comments are nothing new, but ya know what? The way New England Patriots fans still trash this guy—the man behind the false videotaping-the-Rams claims—tickles us pinker than Pink herself. Kudos to vigilant anti-Tomase reader Bacchus for the heads-up.

Yesterday we pointed out two Boston Herald articles in which some not-so-subtle readers used the comments section as a means of imploring the newspaper to help John Tomase, creator of the Pats-Rams Super Bowl Videotape Myth, do his best John the Baptist impression.

Those articles were written by Tomase’s colleagues. Wait until you see the comments in Tomase’s own article today.

Thanks to reader Bacchus, who has the nose (among other things) of a bear and sniffed this out for us.
