Kahne Will Hit the Road in Sonoma With the Pole

In a combined 10 starts at Infineon Raceway, Kasey Kahne and Jimmie Johnson have a total of two top-ten finishes, but that didn’t stop them from running the two fastest laps during Friday’s Sprint Cup qualifying session. Kahne, whose best Sonoma finish was 23rd last year, turned a lap of 77.740 seconds to take his second Coors Lite Pool Award of the season, with the first coming just a couple of weeks ago at Pocono in a race that he dominated.
