NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
For a while it was like Big Ten football game day with Braylon Edwards finding new life with the New York Jets or maybe going back to his life as a star at U of M. It was also Chad Henne, former U of M quarterback, displaying his strong arm going 20 – 26 for 241 yards and 2 TDs for the Dolphins and, finally, it was Ted Ginn Jr. the maligned speedster from Ohio State displaying his ultra speed on a deep pass from Rookie Mark Sanchez.

NFL Football at its best. NFL Football at its craziest.
Burned into my memory are lasting pictures of Braylon Edwards playing for the U of M Wolverines and beating my MSU Spartans. In my memory they beat us about 400 times with Braylon scoring every time. He just had to be great in the NFL, didn’t he?
Maybe it is now found out that you sometimes have to be great as a person, too.
Wonder if LeBron James approved of the Braylon Edwards trade to New York?
Braylon was nothing but trouble with the Cleveland Browns and Romeo Crennel put up with it and …read more

Plaxico Burress goes to prison, thus springing Steve Smith and Mario Manningham for multiple receptions in the NFL. Yeah, that is how it goes sometimes. For their part in the whole thing, Steve Smith and Mario Manningham owe a debt of gratitude to Plaxico Burress. Oh, it is not what you are thinking, it is not because he left and they get more opportunities. Oh, no, it is much more than that.
Plaxico Burress, the man that broke the rules and broke them often, took his football very …read more

Cleveland is hoping that young Braylon Edwards can mature and have a fantastic season this coming year. Braylon only scored 3 touchdowns last year in a tumultuous year for the Browns, after scoring 16 touchdowns the year before.
So what can Braylon do? There will be problems to be sure. Not only are the Browns looking at a quarterback controversy, but new coach Eric Mangini has been flexing his muscles and driving several people crazy.
The secret will be for Braylon Edwards to call on his Zen powers to achieve …read more

Tis a sad day for us Michigan State Spartans, as the New York Giants replace a Spartan alum with a Wolverine alum. Yeah, Braylon Edwards was from that school down the road called Michigan. Oh, and while he was at Michigan, he managed to thump my Spartans with regularity.
Braylon will have some pretty big shoes to fill, although the exact size of Plaxico Burress’s shoes are unknown at this time.
The Giants are in win right now mode and think Braylon is just the ticket.

Derek Anderson spots Braylon Edwards wide open 70 yards down the field
Nobody, but nobody was giving the Giants a chance to win this game. It was Monday Night Football and the Giants are surely headed to the Super Bowl, right?
Well, just who is that Nobody guy, because he must have made a ton of dough betting on this game.
Derek Anderson was 18 – 29 for 310 yards and 2 touchdowns.
