Maryland simply did not show up for the Duke game today. Duke outrebounded Maryland by 23. Freakin’ Brian Zoubek had just as many offensive rebounds (7) as Maryland’s leading rebounder had total (7). If I didn’t know any better I’d say Duke might just be a lock for the Sweet 16 this year.

Brian Zoubek still must have his fist stuck in his ear or something, or else he would have beaten out raw freshman Miles Plumlee for that starting center spot by now.

UNC- The preseason favorite better not get too big for their britches. Roy Williams better have his guys, every one of them, ready to go no matter who the opponent. UNC will learn quickly that there’s a fat million dollar check safety pinned to their collective jerseys. Tar Heelites must hope that Hansbrough isn’t the only player who gets the memo. The Messiah can only do so much.

I will never fathom why so many sports fans have decided to jump on the Duke Blue Devil bandwagon, having never had any affiliation with the school in any way. I feel the same about the New York Yankees. Why do so many fans flock to such underachieving and arrogant teams such as the Yankees and Blue Devils?
