With their wins, each of the following fighters won some extra money at last Saturday night’s UFC 98 . A total of $240,000 ($60,000 each) was awarded for “Fight Of the Night”, Knockout Of The Night” and “Submission Of The Night”. Yves Lavigne should have got a bonus for “Despised Official Of The Night” as he was booed every time they announced his name.
Matt Hughes and Matt Serra (whom did not win but got a bonus anyway), walked away with an extra $60k each for their fight which was awarded “Fight Of The Night”, even though many considered it to …read more

Josh Coscheck had to drop out of his fight against Chris Wilson at UFC 98: Evans Vs. Machida due to a foot injury last month. Brock Larson is replacing Coscheck to take on Wilson and sadly this is still an undercard fight.
Larsen brings an impressive record with 25 wins and 2 loses in his Career. He’s 2-1 in the UFC and this will be his first PPV with the UFC. His 2 loses were to John Fitch by decision back at UFC Fight Night 2 in 2005 and 1 loss in his WEC career to Carlos Condit in 2007. Other …read more
Brock Larson Also Headed To The UFC

Last week it was mentioned that Carlos Condit and Brock Larson’s fight at WEC 39 was scrapped and Condit was headed to the UFC as ZUFFA and the WEC do away with their 170 pound division.
News this week puts Brock Larsen up against Jesse Sanders at UFC Fight Night 18 coming up on April 1st. I’m just wondering why they just didn’t have a rematch between Condit and Larson at this event instead of splitting the two up and making them fight other fighters? I’m sure there was reasoning behind it, but I really wanted to see a Condit …read more

On Wednesday it was announced the the Carlos Condit vs. Brock Larson Welterweight Championship bout at WEC 39 would be scrapped from the card due to Condit spraining his wrist. It’s now being said that there is a good possibility that the entire welterweight class in the WEC may be eliminated. There have been some talks about the WEC adding 125 pound flyweight class in to the mix as the Zuffa tried to separate the WEC and UFC by not having overlapping weight classes.
I think if they are going to do this then they need to eliminate the …read more
WEC 39 Card

The full card for WEC 39 is now filled and it’s going to be quite an evening. I always like to see Carlos Condit fight and Brock Larson is no push-over. I honestly think this should be the main event. The featherweights had their main even night in November, Bantamweights in December and Lightweights headlined WEC 38. Either way though, it’s going to be some good action. Mike Brown defends his Featherweight title for the first time and we’ll see how much of a “Bad Boy” Leonard Garcia is. We’ll also have to count how many times he tweaks his …read more
