Bruno was released just days after the death of Michael Jackson and, out of sensitivity for the loss, producers removed a scene from the movie featuring a prank on La Toya Jackson.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a movie that was so well promoted so I’m pretty excited to see if Brüno will be deserving of all the hype.
Sacha Baron Cohen was a Kazakh traveling across the United States in Borat and a French Formula 1 race car driving in Talladega Nights and now, he has undergone yet another transformation to become Austrian fashion journalist, Brüno.
Looking at him, I think he’s actually believable.  He sounds, looks and acts the part and I really think that Cohen deserves recognition for his ability to really transform into these roles so thoroughly.  …read more

This summer, movie-goers are being treated to some incredible original movies as well as some amazing-looking sequels.  With blockbuster season already underway, I thought it might be a great time to look at what’s already out in theatres as well as what to expect in the coming months.

Have you seen these new production stills from BRÜNO?  The movie starring Sacha Baron Cohen looks hilarious.  Since Cohen’s last character, Borat, had become so recognizable, I’m guessing a sequel to that film was not realistic so here comes Brüno.

In the film, which currently has a release date of July 10, 2009, Cohen portrays “flamboyant Austrian fashionista, Brüno, takes his show to America.”  I’m guessing we can expect him to terrorize unsuspecting Americans just like he did in Borat and I seriously cannot wait!  I’ve been following Brüno on Twitter and I think he really tried to take this character’s …read more
