The scene is only 90 seconds long but it is pretty rough since it shows Bruno mocking the Jackson family.  According to Usmagazine.com, “La Toya is tricked into doing an interview with a fake Austrian fashion journalist, played by Cohen. Cohen’s character, Bruno, then asks to see her phone, finds Michael’s number and starts saying his number in Austrian to his assistant.  When La Toya gets fed up with Bruno, she storms out, before he yells to her, ‘La Toya, come back. Can you at least get me Jermaine?’”

I like crude humor but I didn’t enjoy Bruno and I think this scene is just going to make it worse for me.

La Toya Jackson Scene on “Bruno” DVD

Sacha Baron Cohen was a Kazakh traveling across the United States in Borat and a French Formula 1 race car driving in Talladega Nights and now, he has undergone yet another transformation to become Austrian fashion journalist, Brüno.

Looking at him, I think he’s actually believable.  He sounds, looks and acts the part and I really think that Cohen deserves recognition for his ability to really transform into these roles so thoroughly.  As was the case with Borat, Cohen is touring the world and appearing on talk shows as the fictional character, Brüno, and he answers questions with lightning-quick speed and conviction.

In the film, the title character interviews and interacts with people around the globe and, while some might assume he’s just trying to be funny, he really is showing us how judgmental and intolerant we can be toward each other.  It’s uncomfortable for audiences and brave on Cohen’s part but I believe that we can learn a lot from this film if we can get past being offended.

Of course, if you hated and/or were insulted by Borat, you probably shouldn’t even attempt to see Brüno since this one seems even more over-the-top and in-your-face.  Watch the trailer:

"I’m thrilled that we pulled this off better than we rehearsed it," he tells RapRadar.  "It had so many people going ‘nuts’ so to speak. Everyone was blowing me up about it.  Sacha called me when we were in Europe and he had an idea to do something outrageous at the Movie Awards.  I’m a big fan of his work so I agreed to get involved with the gag. After the ceremony I went back to my hotel and laughed uncontrollably for about three hours.  Especially after I saw it on air."

Wow… honestly, I wondered if Brüno’s role had been planned but Eminem truly had me fooled.  He needs to give up music and pursue a career in acting because I absolutely believed him (and I really didn’t think he would let Brüno put his jump all up in his face).
