Worst to firsters?
Yeah, you know, the teams that go from not being very good to being very good.
Since realignment in 2002, at least one team a season has jumped from last place to division winner from one year to the next — the 2003 Chiefs, the 2004 Falcons and Chargers, the 2005 Bears and Buccaneers, the 2006 Saints and the 2007 Buccaneers.
With offseason roster shuffling mostly finished around the league, which …read more

The Detroit Lions have made numerous moves in the off season to get back into contention. Some other coaches were asked about the moves.
Tampa Bay coach Jon Gruden, on cornerback Brian Kelly and safety Kalvin Pearson: “Kelly’s a hell of a player. If he stays healthy, he’s a dominant player, in my opinion. We’ll miss Kalvin Pearson a lot. He was an excellent special teams player. Excellent. He can play safety if you give him a chance.”

In one of the oddest set of player pickups in years, the Detroit Lions have signed 7 former Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the last two years.
It was strange last year to see ex-coach Mike Martz request and get several former St. Louis Rams. He claimed they knew his offense already. Evidently they did not, because he is gone to the 49ers.
This year and last, …read more

Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo
Even though she has been warned by Terrell Owens to stay away from Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, Jessica had to see her man.
So, they took a little vacation to Mexico to let go of some of that stress.
You know that stress of being famous and rich. Doesn’t it just get to you after a while?
You know, Jessica has never once shown up at my church league basketball games. Maybe she only loves football?

Speaking of the aforementioned TO, it seems that he has …read more

This is the Center’s head. Now squeeze.
Warren Sapp
After 13 seasons and stuck on a bad team, Warren Sapp called it quits.
Many of us remember Sapp killing offensive linemen for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Sapp dominated.
NFL Warren Sapp factoid
Sapp finished with 96 1/2 career sacks. Former Minnesota Vikings player John Randle is the only tackle with more sacks
Always quick with the quotes, Warren Sapp simply stated that he was done.
Done maybe, but definitely remembered.
In the end, Sapp received much more than widespread recognition as one of the NFL’s premiere players.
He …read more
