Alex Rodriguez Should Be Suspended – ARoid

When all the baseball players were getting busted for steroids, Alex Rodriguez was one player who a lot of people pointed to as being the poster boy for the clean players. Oops. On Saturday, an SI report indicated that Alex Rodriguez tested positive for steroids while with the Texas Rangers in 2003.
While his steroid test back then was supposed to stay anonymous, that shouldn’t stop Major League Baseball from suspending Alex Rodriguez. This is yet another black eye to the sport — at a time when the steroid talk was finally dying down.

Boras tells Pirates ‘no-go’ on top pick’s contract

Here we go again. Super-agent Scott Boras is making news in Major League Baseball. This time, Boras has informed the Pittsburgh Pirates that his client, Pedro Alvarez, will not be signing the contract they agreed to on August 15.
Alvarez was the Pirates’ first-round pick in the June MLB First-Year Player Draft. However, the MLB Players Association is filing a grievance on behalf of Alvarez, stating that the two parties agreed to the contract after the midnight deadline on Aug. 15.

Who Didn’t Know This Man Was On Steroids

John Rocker claims that Bud Selig knew that Rocker was on steroids way back in 2000. Rocker added, hey, look at me! Remember me? The Mets hated me. I was in Sports Illustrated. Selig and MLB quickly retorted that this was 2000, back when MLB didn’t care if you were on steroids or not.
