Add Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to the list of really freakin’ cool games that I’m not going to get my hands on until at least Christmas.
AND, apparently I’m the only person who hasn’t played this game since as of the 18th of this month, Modern Warfare 2 had taken in an astounding $550 million dollars worldwide in the first five days.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released earlier this week and if you’re a fan of the game, you might want to pick up the Xbox 360 Modern Warfare 2 Throat Communicator.  The device comes in “camo” and “snow” colors and looks like it would be a cool add-on during game play.

Looking at it, I can’t decide if it looks comfortable, though, so I’d love to hear from anyone who has tried it.  It does add a whole extra level of coolness to playing the game, though, so it might be worth it for that alone.

I knew that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was going to be huge but this is unbelievable.  In the first day alone, seven million copies flew off the shelves.  It’s breaking all kinds of records including selling twice as many copies as Grand Theft Auto IV did last year.

I don’t know why we didn’t pre-order a copy but we failed to reserve one and now we are sitting here without the game while seven million other people are enjoying themselves.  Not a good feeling…

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on November 10, 2009 but you can pre-order it now.  This first-person tactical shooter game is the sixth installment in the series.  The first Modern Warfare really appealed to some players who wanted a change from being in old war environment since it takes place in the present day.
