How tragic. How irresponsible.

I knew it was bound to happen one day. I still remember the day I bought it, about mid 2005. It took me a few minutes to actually slip the baby into the shuffle because it was so freakin tight. I had decided to buy Capdase because I wanted a less bulky solution for my iPod shuffle. I didn’t want a metal case because the purpose of buying small is to stay small. I also wanted to buy something see-through because the purpose of buying Apple is partly to show it off.

The bane of soft cases is heat. When you live in a tropical country and charge your iPod shuffle regularly, the heat generated by the weather and by the charging tends to expand the silicon. Thus. Causing. The. Jacket. To. Expand. And. Fall. Off. Ouch.

Pros
Does not add to the weight around your neck

iPod shuffle can be shown off in all its iPod glory

Comes with a separate lanyard attachment that’s wider and easily detachable

Soft jacket has small protrusions for the middle button, volume control and track navigation

Cons
Heat causes the case to expand. Make sure you have the earphones attached so it won’t fall off completely

Tips
When you charge your iPod shuffle, it would be better in the long run to remove the soft case. Or you can try sticking the case in your refrigerator and let it compress for a few hours. Haha!
