When you hear of someone in a car accident at two o-clock in the morning, the first thought you have is that something (drugs, alcohol, being over-tired) was at play. Because really, people don’t leave their house (normally) at 2:25 in the morning.
But that’s just what Tiger Woods did this morning. He left very early and had a minor car crash. According to FoxSports, he “hit a fire hydrant and a neighbor’s tree as he was leaving his mansion in a gated waterfront community near Orlando, Fla.” He had facial cuts and was treated …read more

Normally, I don’t report on injuries and legal trouble in the off-season…basically because I’d be working around the clock to tell you about them all. I wanted to mention how Texas star Sergio Kindle crashed his car last week, which he made public today.
Apparently, Kindle was texting while driving, and when looking at a message, he lost control of his car and crashed into an apartment building in Austin. The crash caused just under $9000 worth of damage, but no one was hurt. Sources say that after the crash, he pushed his car out of the building and drove home.

A former NFL quarterback, William “Jeff” Komlo, was killed in a car crash in Greece yesterday. I don’t remember Komlo personally, but he did play for the Lions, Falcons, and Bucs, and was in the league from 1979 to 1983.
This guy is a pretty interesting character, because he failed to show up for a court dates on drunk driving charges in 2005. Apparently “two suspicious fires” and “years spent on the lam” made authorities wonder if Komlo was really dead or had faked his death with this crash. They did, however, identify his body using fingerprint identification.

It is JUST not Plaxico Burress‘ year. He’s had the problems with the ref, problems with tossing a ball into the stands, problems with shooting himself, and now… this.
Apparently he rear-ended a woman in May, and like the careless young lad he is he failed to pay his car insurance! And now he’s being sued.
Miami resident Alise Smith says Plaxico hit her car from behind and now seeks $15,000 for “medical bills, lost wages, and damage to her car.”
Plaxico, whose salary is $7,850,000, had failed to pay the last three premiums (to Allstate, his …read more
