The Colorado shares it’s frame with the GMC Canyon. Both trucks come in a variety of trims to best suit any need. Buying the right truck could be tricky. You first need to assess whether or not you’ll need to have crew seats. Most mid sized trucks only have two seats so this could be a big inconvenience if you need to carry more passengers. The next thing you need to consider is whether or not to go for the extended bed. 6 foot beds are standard but you may need more room if you plan on hauling stuff around.

2010 MG TF 135

The MG comes equipped with a very light but powerful 1.8L I4 engine that can put out an impressive 135 hp. Not bad for a little car. If that doesn’t impress you, you may enjoy the fact that the car can get 46mpg. But don’t go rushing for the MG if you are a Tree-Hugger, the MG was not made to save gas, it’s true nature is revealed when it’s placed on the track. With a take off rate of 0-60 in just 8.4 seconds and with top speeds of 127mph you’ll be sure to win any drag races.

The new MG comes in two basic trims: The TF 85 (85th Anniversary Edition) or the TF 135.  The TF 85 is a special edition MG so expect to pay a little more, around $30,000. The 135 is price a little lower at just $27,000. Which isn’t too bad considering. The only problem about getting into an MG in North America is finding one that was built with the steering wheel on the left side.

GMC Terradyne Concept

The Terradyne was designed to be the ultimate truck for anyone who works hard. It was supposed to come with the 6.6L V8 300-hp Duramax engine, that was powerful enough to tow well over 6,000 lbs. One of the most remarkable things about the truck was that it was supposed to come equipped with a 5,000W generator. That’s enough to power a house if needed. This could have been a practical feature for those who need to use power tools in remote areas.

Not only was the Terradyne supposed to be tough it was designed to be durable too. The interior was designed in such a way that it could be sprayed down with a simple garden hose. The truck bed could also be extended to accomidate larger loads. One of the most notable features on the Terradyne was that the doors would slide to the side like doors on a minivan.

Maybe this is long overdue but I am pleading with GMC to have the Terradyne produced. This is exactly the kind of truck people want and need. I would pay top dollars for a truck that I knew would last and be reliable. Bring back the Terradyne and prove once again that GMC makes the best trucks.

If you can’t wit till 2040 you’ll just have to settle for a top of the line, super fuel efficient hybrid vehicle. The all new Chevrolet Orlando Concept is one of those cars that will hit North American consumers by storm. The car was designed to be a compromise between a SUV, minivan and station wagon. The first ever Multi-Purpose Vehicle for Chevy has high hopes for the industry.

2010 GMC Yukon Denali

Now available as a hybrid, the Yukon can get 20mpg in the city and 21mpg out on the highway. If you are one who will be doing allot of driving through slow moving traffic you’ll love that the Yukon’s hybrid system can operate on electric alone, switching on the Votec 6.0L V8 332 hp engine one the SUV reaches 28 mph.

The Yukon is big! The car can seat up to 8 full sized adults comfortably. This could be a life saver on those long family trips. But it fare’s decent in the fuel economy ratings – just 15 mpg in the city and 20 mpg out on the highway. The powertrain’s efficiency is due in part by the systems two mode transmission. Buy just the push of a button you can switch between normal driving and towing mode. In towing mode you’ll get the advantage of better low end torque, so you won’t have to worry about building up traffic when approaching a steep hill.

The Sierra was designed for people who want to save on gas but who can’t afford to give up their big truck needs (though if you don’t need a truck you should give it up for a lighter vehicle). The hybrid electric engine works as a supplemental drive that works in tandem with the gas engine. This unique hybrid system works well for those who need the hauling power.

Also I know that many of you truck fans love your morning coffee. I see you all line up at Tim Horton’s for your morning fix. For these people the Sierra is perfect because for 0-48 km/hr you will be running on pure electric power. So if you are idling in a parking lot or crawling through construction sites you can rest assured you won’t be losing a drop of gas.

The most impressive feature about the new Sierra Hybrid is it’s fuel efficiency. The truck gets 9.8 L/100km (29mpg) in the city and 9.2 (31mpg) out on the highway! That’s better than my minivan! In fact that’s the best I’ve seen in most new car line-ups.

If you work hard but are a Hippie at heart you’ll love the new Sierra. It really is a good balance between the two worlds.

It seems as if the Commander was built to compete with the Hummer to take over as the vehicle of choice for the US military. This car may not be able to climb a 90 degree wall like the Hummer but it can take its driver anywhere without too much thinking. Just find a setting that will get you unstuck from practically any situation.

The Jeep Commander is the top of the line and it’s priced accordingly. At a starting price of over $34,000 for the base sport trim it is outside of most peoples budgets. Though if you are in the market for the best of the best opt instead for the Limited trim as it comes with all of the bells and whistles.
