Casey Stoner won for the third consecutive campaign and continued his dominance on the track of Phillip Island by beating Valentino to the line by 2 seconds Sunday in the Iveco Australian Grand Prix. The much anticipated battle between Fiat Yamaha team mates Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi never really materialized as Jorge and Valentino played second fiddle to comeback boy Casey Stoner and his sparkling return to the pavement. Casey Stoner Takes a Three Race Break

Fans of Casey Stoner will have to wait for three races before they can again watch their favorite racer take a modern sports bike around a MotoGP race track at break-neck speeds. Casey was given the okay to take a break to get his health in order and put his body right before coming back to the track. Dani Pedrosa must have seen the clouds part and the sun shine through Sunday as he crossed the finish line of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix held at iconic Laguna Seca first, after a year long drought that last saw him drink from the victory cup at Catalunya last season.
