Hotel Dash: A Game to Kill Time On

How did I spend my day today?
I spent it playing Hotel Dash: Suite Success [gotta love that title].
I know. I know! You’re thinking, “But it’s one of those stupid casual games”.
Shush!
Hotel Dash: Suite Success is one of those “silly” casual games that manages to weave its way into your day and not let go…no matter how much you know that you have other things to do.
It’s built on the same premise that all of the “Dash” games are built on. Take care of the customers, make sure that you meet each and every one of their demands – since they’ll …read more

Scrap! – A New Take on Tetris

As if you didn’t already have enough ways to waste your time, now comes a 3-D take on Tetris for your iPhone and iPod Touch.  Released by Splitcode, a free trial of the game is available for download as well as a “Lite” version “which provides the player with a preview of its original music score and a YouTube video to show players how to play and utilize the features of the game right from their iPhone and iPod Touch.”
Scrap! promises to stretch the graphical abilities of both pieces of Apple hardwear.
“Every puzzle game can become boring after the …read more

Flower – Three Hours Well Spent

Flower is a game that epitomizes what I think a casual game should be: cheap, short, and engaging.
At $9.99, Flower is less expensive that most casual games that you download to your PC.  I stated playing Flower at 3pm and finished it around 6pm.  That included a bathroom break and the occasional break to take care of my kids.
The first thing that you see when you start Flower is a very depressing grey metropolis.  The world is pretty much devoid of anything pretty or even living for that matter.
The only thing that’s not mechanical or grey is a sad looking …read more

Touch Pets™ Dogs for Apple’s App Store

In Touch Pets Dogs, players adopt, nurture and play with their virtual puppies through one-on-one touch screen interaction or on play dates with other players’ dogs from around the world. The ambitious Touch Pets social network, embedded within the game, allows owners and dogs alike to build relationships with other players and their Touch Pets. Puppies’ social lives continue to evolve whether their owners are logged into the game or not, and the results are broadcast for the world to see on the Touch Pets social network dog feed.
Players can also personalize their 3-D pups with new clothing, accessories, toys, …read more

Factory Balls 2: An Exercise in Insanity

Factory Balls 2 looks deceptively easy.  Take a plain white ball and preform a sequence of actions on the ball to recreate the design of the ball that’s hanging out on the box.
Like all puzzle games, things start out easy and quickly build to insane.  And by insane I mean rip your hair out because you can’t get the daisies to grow at the correct rate.  What sane person gets THAT upset over some stupid flowers on the internet?
Each puzzle challenges your thought processes by presenting what you think is an easy design..until you’ve wasted ten balls while trying to …read more

Metal Gear Solid Touch Next Metal Gear Solid Game

All of the rumors are true.
The next game in the Konami’s stable of Metal Gear Solid games is in fact a PHONE GAME!  No need for a 360 or PS3 if you have an iPhone Touch.
Metal Gear Solid is set right after Metal Gear Solid Four and will have eight different levels of custom content.  Kotaku is claiming unlockable Metal Gear iPhone wallpapers and there might be more levels at a later date.
I think that this is a smart/bold move for Konami.  Not only are they tapping into the MGS crowd of fanatic fans but they are also tapping into …read more

I’m Addicted

Chuzzle is a major addiction of mine.
There’s just something about those cute, fluffy little guys that I can’t get enough of.  I first discovered it as a trial on my desktop.  Once that trial had expired, I went to the internet to find more.  I ended up downloading it five different times from five different sites.
I guess I could have just given in and bought the stupid game but that would have taken all of the fun out of searching for it and the feeling of success when I found it again.
If you don’t know how to play [gasp], the …read more
