After almost 15 years and 30 million games sold, the Command and Conquer series is finally coming to an end. The epic conclusion will be in 2010 with Command and Conquer 4 to close the Tiberium series with a bang.
New class-based gameplay, mobile bases and persistent player progression throughout all game modes can be found in C&C 4, with a new 5v5 objective-based multiplayer mode. What’s is the ultimate fate for Brotherhood of Nod? Will GDI emerge as the winner?
All and more will be answered in the highly anticipated EA game next year. Can’t wait.

If you didn’t like the last Tiberium video we showed you since it’s blurry (YouTube videos are usually unclear), fret not. We’ve got a better version, and it doesn’t include game journalist Geoff Keighley. This is all gameplay, baby.

Not that I dislike Geoff, mind you. In fact, I respect the guy for defending Mass Effect against ignorant toads who think all games have sexual content and should be banned. However, Geoff somewhat got in the way during the TV special when the only thing we wanted to see was some hot Tiberium gameplay.

Here’s a surprise: according to VideoGamesBlogger, a Command & Conquer FPS game is coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. The game is called Tiberium, and is said to be set 11 years after the end of the third Tiberium war.
A C&C FPS? This game has to be a sequel to Renegade.
Tiberium is said to be a mix between Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter, Battlefield, and Rainbow Six Vegas. If this were the case, the result would probably have vehicles and tactical elements.

Would Tiberium be in first-person or third person? I can’t really say. Perhaps a third-person POV is useful if a cover mechanic would be implemented, and the tactical element would be easier to see because of better peripheral vision.

You’re thrust in the role of Ricardo Vega, a formerly-retired GDI field commander. You’ll be leading a Rapid Assault and Intercept Deployment (or R.A.I.D.), but there are no details if you get to fight the NOD. Since this is a C&C game, expect to command units such as: infantry squads, missile infantry squads, a version of the Titan, and Orcas.

Is this news for real? The blog says the January ‘08 issue of Game Informer has this news as its cover story. You can also have a look at the images in a certain EA forum (links found in one of the lower posts).
