Klondike Ochocinco vs T.O. Roast

Ochocinco (Chad Johnson) and Terrell Owens are both talented and outspoken wide receivers. And now the two players are facing off with a little comedy — roast style. Beginning today, the two NFL stars will go head-to-head with the Klondike “Ocho – TO Thicker Shell Face-Off” on the Klondike Facebook Fan Page at Facebook.com/Klondike.
This humorous roast will take place over the next two weeks. Starting November 11 (today), Ochocinco will roast T.O. with lighthearted messages to test the thickness of Owens’ shell. Then next week, T.O. has the opportunity to go back against Ochocinco.

Ochocinco: The Kicker

Talk about reinvention. Chad Ochocinco (formerly Chad Johnson, until he recently changed his name to match his number… except that it really doesn’t because his number is “85″ not “8″ and “5,” but whatever….) is truly the king of changing things up. Just when you think it’s business as usual for him, he will fool you.

I actually really like that about him.
The latest surprise is that Ochocinco can kick, y’all! He acted as emergency kicker in the Bengals preseason game against the Patriots last night. And he was successful.
Ochocinco has …read more

Ocho Cinco on Twitter

Twitter has taken over the world! In the world of sports, athletes are either fighting with people posing as themselves and sending false messages, or they are embracing it full force. For the Cincinnati Bengals Chad Johnson (or “Ocho Cinco” as he prefers to be called), Twitter helps connect him to the fans.

Ocho Cinco gave an interview recently where he said he plans on Twittering a lot during the upcoming football season. He said the site allows him to chat with thousands of fans at once and that it’s “big” for him. Never one to miss …read more

Video: Chad Ochocinco Guarantees Playoffs

Give it to Chad Ochocinco, he knows how to keep his name in the news.  (Whatever name that may be at the moment.)
Recently, the man formerly known has Chad Johnson guaranteed that the Cincinnati Bengals would make the 2009 NFL playoffs. Considering that the Bengals won just four games last year, that’s quite a statement.
Here’s the actual quote, courtesy of ESPN.com:
“It’s going to be a great year; we’re going to the playoffs. We’re going … We’re making progress. I mean, I see it, and I can come out on a limb and say what we’re going to do.”
That’s not exactly …read more

Carson Palmer Blasts Chad Ochocinco

Carson Palmer, the started quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, is sounding less and less like a fan of Chad Ochocinco. While appearing on a radio show recently, Palmer blasted the wide receiver formerly known as Chad Johnson. According to Palmer, he isn’t exactly missing Mr. Ocho Cinco.
Here is the transcript of Palmer when he appeared on “Movin’ The Chains”, a show on Sirius NFL Radio:
When asked about his wide receivers during the recent Bengals voluntary workouts:
“It’s definitely a new look for the Bengals receiver corps but I couldn’t be happier with the guys we’ve got. T.J. gone and Chad’s pretty …read more

Chad Johnson to Ocho Cinco to Ochocinco

Chad Johnson to Ocho Cinco to Ochocinco

The wide receiver formerly named Chad Johnson continues to see his name in lights. However, what exact name is being used continues to change.
Last year, he changed his name from Chad Johnson to Chad Ocho Cinco to presumably give his “Ocho Cinco” nickname a better stage. He wanted his jersey last year to say “Ocho Cinco” on the back but the NFL said that they were notified too late to make the change.
This year, there still won’t be an “Ocho Cinco” number 85 available in Cincinnati Bengals colors. Instead, the jersey will say “Ochocinco” on the back. Apparently, when Chad …read more

Carson Palmer Says Elbow Completely Healed

Carson Palmer, the starting quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, says that his troublesome elbow is 100% healed. Last season, Palmer sat out 12 games due to pain in his elbow. Instead of surgery, the Bengals had Palmer rest for most of the offseason. Apparently, the strategy has paid off.
Prior to last year, Palmer had been very successful in his NFL career. In 2005, the quarterback out of USC had 32 touchdowns and 3,836 passing yards. He followed that up with 28 touchdowns and 4,035 passing yards in 2006. After tearing ligaments in his knee in the 2006 playoffs, Palmer played …read more

Top Five Drama Queens in the NFL

5) Clinton Portis, Washington Redskins
Portis is the cat who thinks that interviews are time for him to dress up like a 12-year-old on Halloween. Recently, he went on a rant toward his coach. Sarcastically calling your coach a genius is worth a lot of drama queen points.
4) Joey Porter, Miami Dolphins
Does this guy ever not have something to say? Whenever there’s an issue, Porter is first to give his opinion. His latest soundbite has him defending guns and Plaxico Burress. The odd aspect of his talkative ways is that he’s not that good on football. Plus he plays defense and …read more

Chad Johnson Needs to be Released ASAP

Chad Johnson, who calls himself Chad Ocho Cinco these days, can be a very good wide receiver in the NFL. But after all his recent lunacy, he’s just not worth it anymore for the Cincinnati Bengals.
The latest transgression led to Mr. Ocho Cinco getting el deactivatedo against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday. The issue in question was reportedly a team meeting that was skipped.
Whatever the details, the Bengals would be better off without him. Trade him to a team (Dallas Cowboys will be interested to take him on, especially now that he’s certified crazy) and rebuild the wide receiving corps …read more

It’s Official, Chad Johnson Is Now Chad 8-5

It’s Official, Chad Johnson Is Now Chad 8-5

This seems fitting. Especially for a Cincinnati Bengal. Chad Johnson is definitely his own man. He loved the name Ocho Cinco so much that he decided to change his name to just that. To celebrate his jersey number. But Ocho Cinco stands for 8-5, not 85. 85 would be ochenta y cinco. Now ochenta y cinco must not roll of the tongue for Chad like ocho cinco does. We are sure he knew that there was a difference. But then again, he is a Bengal.
