FIU Cuts Cheerleading and Band Programs

One of the best parts of a college football game is the “team spirit” atmosphere. Whether your team is good or bad, it’s fun to scream on the top of your lungs with the cheerleaders or sing The Hey Song with the band. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen at Florida International anymore.
FUI has recently reported that they’d be cutting the band program, and following that announcement, they decided to cut the cheerleading program as well. Ohio State Recruits a Cheerleader

No, seriously.
Reports this week are one of Ohio State’s cheerleaders is going to be a wide receiver next season. Now, to be fair, this is a male cheerleader – Josh Springer to be exact. Still, there are just too many jokes to be had with this story.

Calling All NCAA Cheerleaders…Win with BCS Frenzy

Are you now or were you once an cheerleader for a NCAA football team?
If so, I want to talk to you!
The BCS is only a “frenzy” because of the fans, and it takes more than some guys throwing a ball around to make the game great for fans. Without cheerleaders, games just wouldn’t be as exciting.
That goes for both male and female cheerleaders, as well as mascots – if you’re willing to fill out an email questionnaire, I’d love to feature you and the hard work you do on this site.
