IPL Final : Rajasthan Royals win in thriller
Chennai Superkings have to consider themselves lucky. They were outplayed in every department of the game on Sunday by the Rajasthan Royals but still lost on just the final ball. The scorecard suggests a really close match, the highlights make you wonder how?
Chennai batted first and scored a formidable 168. Formidable as this was a high pressure game and MSD had defended 157 too in a final, that too a close match! Almost everyone contributed in bits and pieces to help reach the total. The Rajasthan bowling was accurate without being incisive

IPL Semis : Chennai professionally thrash Punjab
If you thought the first Semi Final was one sided enough, think again! This match really redefined one sided for me. Yuvraj’s…ahem….Preity’s boys came into the match with ultimate gusto and passion, as they always do. They were subjected to some great bowling from the Chennai Superkings.
Bundled out for a paltry 112, the end was always waiting for the formalities to be done. Piyush Chawla bowled really well, but the century partnership between Suresh Raina and Parthiv Patel stole the show. Congratulations Chennai. Hope to see Rajasthan beat you guys tomorrow in the final!

With the Deccan Chargers losing to Chennai Superkings tonight, all the four semi finalists of the inaugural DLF IPL have been decided. Not that I care as both my teams (Kolkata and Mumbai) are out. Anyway’s, for people too naive to not support Kolkata, they are

Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Superkings – 14th May 2008 – Mumbai
We had earlier reported that Sachin Tendulkar would play this match. Well, of course he played and led the Indians well. His captaincy was un-Tendulkarish, refreshing and nice to analyze. But he is not everyone who has watched this match would talk about. Limelight is a very narrow road, and the person who trudged down that path was the great Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya. He scored his 100 in 45 balls, the second fastest in the tournament. Just watch the video and have a great time.
